No mater what happened or happens, Stoner will never EVER be the legend that Rossi IS.

Rossi is racing at as high of level as he ever has. He just doesn't ride with the same style as those three Spaniards. I'm afraid that his style isn't good enough to be the best any more. Still a legend.

MM is resetting so many records and laying waste to the rest of the field of riders while he's at it. Just incredible! His status in history depends on how long he can keep it up.

Stoner was a mad man but he couldn't keep it up. Too bad. Would have been great to see him duke it out with MM. But that's how it goes. Some kids just want to take their ball and go home once their feelings get hurt.
He was fast, no doubt, but not very legendary.

Poor Rossi. I look up to him like a God but this is how I see the "old man" now. :-(

best yamaha rider are you remotely serious with this. rossi is second to JLO period. which means at best 4th total. not even a question. yes jlo has had 2 bad luck things happen oh well thats racing but looks to be sorted out after last race.

he came in second last year with more victories than MM (8-6 first place finishes). he was the world champ the year before. rossi finished second in the first race now as he did last year and all of a sudden he is the best rider? how can you remotely think rossi is the best yamaha rider. you must have 46 painted on your house to think this.

Round 4 race results in. Like I said, #46 is currently the strongest rider on the M1... PERIOD.

Yup, I doubted that but you were spot on. Hope he stays that way all season. He recently said he may stay on to see what the 2016 rules do to the series. MM is a new era for sure but there's no doubting that Honda has a clear advantage over Yamaha this year.

Aside from Pedrosa's pass on Lorenzo late in the race, *yawn* what a boring series MotoGP is. WSBK is far more entertaining.

I see mark...46...ny is smoking crack again... Love the way he tries to state opinion as fact. 2 more races left. Let's see who comes in 2nd overall now.

Rossi has often not done as well qualifying this season but always seems to move to the front quickly. MM on the other had qualifies great but is generally a poor starter.

I have little doubt that Rossi will move up toward the front but wouldn't bet on where he will finish. I do think the cards are stacked against him finishing the championship in second. From what I have seen it seems as though he over rides the tires and loosed pace later on.

I will bet on MM wining the championship...

Sepang Results

MM 1st
Rossi 2nd
Jlo 3rd
Pedorsa - Crashed twice.

That is by far the smartest I have ever seen MM ride. He didn't jump the gun to pass Rossi or Jlo he actually watched and waited to see where their weakness was and capitalized on them. Hats off to him for a smart and balls out race after he got bumped down on the start.

VR is by far the best of the rest, having soundly out preformed his teammate all year, and Pedrosa falling apart, he looks un-touchable for runner up in the championship. Valencia ought to be a barn burner. Will the Kid break the all time wins in a season record? That is going to be tough especialy with Jorge and Dani trying for redemption at they're home race. It's great having live TV coverage of an epic season.

I'm not sure you get how this works, Marquez already "won" in Japan by creating a mathematical impossibility of another rider surpassing him in points in the season. Furthermore, Rossi tends to be relatively kind to his tires as was evident from Phillip Island this year. That said, this next race will be close with the Spaniards all keen on a home win, Marquez gunning for a record of wins in a season, and Rossi with his sights on second place at a track he is not amazing at.
