Hands down the man is a legend !!! The last 10 years of great riders owe their career achievements to Rossi in some way shape or form ie Stoner , Lorenzo , Pedrosa , Marquez . They all had a Rabbit to chase and that rabbit was Valentino . He set the bar very high and everyone wanted to be him and then wanted to beat him. Christ , Marquez talks about having Rossi’s poster up on his walls …. Unfortunately, you can’t stay on top forever and Rossi clearly isn’t at the top of the game anymore . Personally after last years Race in Austria I would have packed up my leathers and retired if I was him . Clearly isn’t as fast as the new breed of riders and has nothing more to prove . I would love to see him get his 200th podium before he sails off into the sunset ….

This is going to be epic. His last home race. I'm sure they'll do something spectacular after the race. Dang - it's hard to wrap my head around it. He's just always been there. The sport will lose so much color flair & so much competition.
