I hope it looks different from its big brother....I hate the fact people can save money n buy a cheaper model but look exactly the same next to the people that spent way more

Kobe999R, With all due respect please check your information.

As I stated in previous posts the 1st Generation 1199 Paginate RS was released sometime ago, a member from Russia posted very detailed pictures to this forum. The 46K price I posted has been published and was indeed the price for the 1st generation RS version of the bike. The RS13 version is the latest version..

The RS version is generally viewed as a higher and greater specification version than the public R, the RS is intended for track use. As I already stated it is aimed at privateer teams.

You can doubt it all you want, however I am basing this on factual information not on a whim.

Your information conflicts with what this article is saying. The base price for the first 1199RS was 80k pounds ($123k at today's rate). According to Visor Down:

I'm going with the Pani's baby brother on this one. It wouldn't make any sense to test it out with the base's Marzocchi suspension if it was something else. The powerplant in the 1199 is already on the floor, so I don't believe they'd be running it through it's paces. Again. With base suspension. As for the LED headlights, wheels and carbon...those are cosmetic pieces. Camouflage. If you were developing a bike, would you put bling all over it but leave off the suspension you planned on using? The fact he's giving the camera man the finger is a pretty good indication he didn't want photos of the bike. Come on minigale!

Any body remember this FF? Bike all covered up, running the ohlins on the S with some nice bluing on the exhaust.

And here's another side by side of the Marzocchis from the base and the spy shot.

I have already stated that the RS is for privateer teams, so unsure why you keep repeating what I already said ?

Just some more info, here is the link to the 1st Generation Panigale RS ( which was built for BSB) .. price was 46K. You can also find the Russian version posted on here.

I have been very specific about my information.

Hi Cali , i know you are specific about your information and i do appreciate this. So i'm trying to find out where our confilcting info could arise from.

there are two things that come to mind. I know that before the 1199 RS as it is now, there has been a racebike for the SUPERSTOCK series.

there is a pic referred to as the Superstock included. Look at the front suspension/brake setup and you will notice the difference with the RS model being the FGR forks/brembo monoblocs and the MotoGP mastercylinders and SBK rotors ( 6mm iso 5,5 mm ) for a total of 15 + 4 + 2 + 2 +1,2 k euros . still it carries a specific (brushed alu) tank and fuel cap but the shape is that of a standard bike, not the different RS tank. ( here the fairing bolts directly to the tank and carries it's fuel lower

the Superstock is probably an S with most of the DUCATI CORSE Superstock catalog list put on the bike in by Corse... i 'm not sure but starting from an S in 2012 and already built in the factory, so no double bits, i can imagine that 46K will take you quit a long way on that Superstock model and so that a reference to the only race version of at 46 could point to the Superstock. :)

Looking at the vid of the BSB RS, I only noticed 1 difference with the 2013 full RS model, clearly to be seen at 1:24 is that this RS , the BSB, carries no electronics. not even a dash.

This is fully normal as the BSB series imposes control electronics, being MOTEC. (pic of MOTEC on a yam) The decades old Ducati custom is that RS modules are Magneti Marelli. This bit of the RS itself costs 29K euro and is delivered in a box for that price.

there will have been an adated price for the BSB RS without the MMarelli, i'm sure. that it would bring the bike down to a mere 46K would surpise me as the 13 costs 140 - 32 for marelli = 108 ... the 108 is in line with the 80K pounds reported...

this is stuff i can come up with where the confusion , should there be any, might have come from. and if there would have been a 46k full RS, damn it, i would have bought 2 of those immediatly ... :)
