Any one done this yet? I am trying to figure out how to get to the hoses under the air box. Any help would be great.

I can tell you that I was actually the launch customer for this kit and was sent a prototype kit to fit to my V4 before it went on general sale and provide feedback to Samco, which I did as the kit required a few modifications from my findings before it could be fitted correctly.

It is possible to fit it without removing the airbox and throttle bodies but you are going to really struggle as access is very very limited, to put it mildly. I fitted mine as part of an engine-up build project so it wasn't an issue. In fact the images of the fitted kit on their website are of my bike. These might help you understand better how best to remove the OEM ones and remove the thermostat housing at the same time.

Easy enough to fit the inter-cylinder hoses when you have this level of access as I did. I would recommend you use Mikalor jubilee clips as opposed to the kit SAMCO can sell you, as the clips they supply (made by JCS) whilst they are good quality stainless steel, have bands that are too wide to produce a good seal over the ends of the hoses where they fit to the thermostat housing without interfering/overlapping with the bosses and flanges on the moulding of the plastic thermostat housing. They also have rolled edges and a smooth internal surface so they won't cut into the silicone when tightened. Also DON'T overtighten the clamps especially where they fit over the hoses that connect to the thermostat housing else you will either distort or crack the plastic bosses and you will almost certainly get a leak later down the line.

I am trying to figure out how to get the air box off, I have already had to drill screws out because Ducati had put them on way to tight. How do I remove the parts from the inside of the air box?

I would highly recommend you download the workshop manual. It is VERY easy to damage components if you do not use the right tools. For example the intake manifold bolts are very easy to strip and you have to be especially careful when removing the motorised trumpet and actuator assemblies. If you disturb and end up modifying any of the linkage geometry you will be giving yourself a major headache to deal with afterwards. It might help to follow the sequence of images on my FB project page to best understand assembly.

Wouldn't oetiker clamps be a good upgrade when doing this?
Last thing you want is a leak and trying to tighten an Oetiker (Norma) clamp once the airbox is back on is going to be bigh on inpossible. Jubilee clips are a much better option and as long as these are all orientated correctly then they can be tightened even with the airbox in place unlike Oetiker clamps.
