SC Project Exhaust - 1199 to 1299 conversion?

It's great if SC does. A conversion wasn't the sole purpose of this project, but would be another use for them if needed.

I think there's an exhaust in there somewhere...:p

Well, if loud pipes saves lives, you'll be rescuing whole ZIP code. But would be interesting for non limited track days.

This is a sound clip from my 1299 panigale. The sc-project pipe sounds crazy on the 1299, something between a superbike and a moto gp bike. Ear plugs is a must : ) I just cut of the flanges to the 1199 fit, and sanded the the edge round on both sides, and bingo.. there it was.

Now that sounds loud :D

So you bought the 1199 one and did a bit of cutting? How long did it take to do that?

I almost bought the 1199 one and was going to get a local garage to adapt it but with all the hassle I seemed to have, I thought it would be a nightmare.

If SCP bring it out in August I will get it but if they're still talking ..... which they have been for a year, I'll just get one anyway if it's not hard to convert?

Any more videos?

Yes, I got a used slip-on from a 1199, and cut of the flanges, and sanded the edges. About a 1 hours job, not so difficoult. An theres another hour removing the servo to the exhaust. I am not a mecanic, so the convert should be possible for any who do a litle maintenese on their bike themselfs.

I shall look if I have some more videos. I have just sold the 1299 panigale, as I have just paid my deposit on a anni-panni : )

Sounds a bit too obnoxious...Reminds me of the Austin Racing pipe ...

how is the performance ?

The performance was good, in the way that it rew faster and got stronger around 3.500-6.500rpm. But I agree Prins Albert, the sound was hard. I could enjoy it for the first hour riding it, but when I got home and went to bed for the night, the bike was still doing a ride in my ears and head:eek:

When you say you took the slip on, did it come with the link pipes too? Did you use them or just kind of bolt it straight on to the end of the stock bit?

Any photos of the exhaust closer up?

Hello, sorry for the late answer, but I am up in the mountains with bad internett conn.
But yes, I did use the link pipe that comes with the project pipe. And converted the bolt on that fit the 1199, to clammer, that fit the 1299 by simply cutting of the bolt flanges.

I have sold the 1299, so I cant get any pictures of the operation. But as I said before, it is not big operation to convert, if sc-project are to slow coming on the market with a pipe that fit the 1299 from factory.

i love the S1 exhaust, seems to fit into the bike a bit better than the CR-T.. i really want one on my bike, but will have to get it modified to fit onto my full termi headers.
