I am expierincing some shifter issues, it seems as if the shift lever is lose (not rattle lose) but it goes through the foot peg holder and seems to be on a brass bush. On both ends it has an o ring, when I move the lever by hand it seems this play is excessive? But when I put the bolt into its hole the play is minimal?
I was wondering if you guys could advise me, I'm thinking of cutting the bolt (shaft) down and machining the hole to fit a roller bearing on each end? This will tighten up the shaft play, I think?
Will it make the shifting more positive?
