Bought a Shoei RF1100 but then got an Arai Corsiar V. Would not buy anything other than the Arai now.

I bought the Arai because of its lightness over the RF1100. I guess one reason it's lighter is the fact that the chin guard is shorter, the down side is that its CLOSE to my face.I will have to get used to it thats all.

I don't mind the closeness, minus the rubber piece I'll be cutting down due to my large nose. They do have thicker cheek pads you can put in ranging from 12 to 40 mm (for only $47), I wonder if that would shift your face back a mm or two, maybe more.

I wish the nose piece was a little higher, but it's hard to find perfect when you make things for the masses.
