hate to say it, but this here is yet another reason to go with the AustinRacing system and allow that pipe to be exposed in all it's glory ;)

I definately don't like that it looks unfinished to me.

Everyone has their own opinion, but I'm the Trans on this one. I've never been a fan of he AR system, though I appreciate Rich making it. Diversity and competition is what its about - everyone needs choices and the right to make them.

i never liked AR either! I just like everything more minimal and for the Pani to me Rich nailed it! not just aesthetics, but weight and alleged power gains.

1199 Rear Cylinder Heat Covers

During prep of the new bike anybody have an estimate on shop time to remove the rear cylinder covers? Haven't seen this machine so have no idea what amount of disassembly, reassembly is involved.

Le sigh, my retaining bolt on the right side ALREADY fell off... Since I can't find the new part numbers, I'm going to wing it by trying out the bolt, washer, and collar that's on the 1198SP shield.

$44 for what I lost and some spares, dear Ducati please loctite vibraty places...

Not surprised.....have moved to lock washers and red loctite, tired of the damn bolts coming out!

Well I've taken the plunge anyway and I'm hoping my Inconel AR system will be on by end of the week.

I had the same thoughts about the unfinished look until I saw the single slash cut on a red bike. Now I've seen the carbon belly pan on another bike I reckon it will look awesome. As you said each to his own.

The way I look at it is its better power, torque, less weight and hopefully less heat and I reckon it looks hardcore, plus it sounds amazing.

I like my Termis but they look too big for the bike; hanging below the line of the bodywork, they're heavy, the sound isn't much better than stock and the two-tone look is a bit cheap (even though they are not!)

Even if the AR system didn't work out I wouldn't go back to Termi's unless they came up with a better design. (Apart from chucking them back on for warranty work).

guys are right on.

ill build my bike the way i like it and so will another person.

btw im building it to be a poser since thats what ducati owners are. lol

I may have gone with ar, but I already had the slips and couldn't rationalized it.

I'm not sure the bike was a rationale decision in the first place but I do understand :)

I've been wrestling with the decision for ages! I should stay off this forum, all this discussion makes me anxious!

Mate you're at leat in the same country so there shouldn't be any doubt what I think, and I won't sugar coat things but don't fancy a run across the Nullabor on a Pani!
