Seacliff Bridge! I know it well....

How about MacQuarie pass just about an hour south of this? That's some of the best roads I've ever ridden. I got no picture of it but here's a vid of my second ever run up it. 5 miles of pure bliss.

Then there's Tasmania.....
(still editing that one)

My back yard in the US. The vid I posted is the opposite direction to this route on Bouquet

....and not really "in my back yard" per se, but a road I ride every year with my son on the way to Laguna Seca

Slideshow of some random riding pics from my "backyard". Some of taken are within minutes of my garage; some not, but all are within dayride distance except for the BRP ones. Can get there in a day but it's really an overnight unless I'm in marathon mode.

^Yup, we've had snow for a couple months already, hence why I'm leaving for Australia in January. Riding the Phillip Island circuit should be a nice break from the cold! :)

While your down under you should visit the Great Ocean Road:D

Haha - yeah, originating from the UK myself, I always get a wry smile at that one too. Americans use the term to describe bravado or feistiness.

I'm impressed with this thread as I've ridden quite a few of the roads that have been posted. I grew up in Wales - hence my knowledge of Snowdonia and Bala regions - I live in and have ridden most of the roads in Southern California and I've just returned from an 18 month stint in Australia so have a fair knowledge of the roads around Sydney and NSW.

11ninenine - hit me up if you want any pointers. (Or a killer deal on a one year old BMW F800GS in Sydney)

This is right behind me. Mt Glorious, Mt Nebo, Mt Mee, Dayboro and the dams. Some of this road is excellent. Can be heavily patrolled but you can still have plenty of fun in the speed limit.

And a photo of my ride today :)

Cheers,
MoZ

.... YOU GUYS!!! I hate you all... You have some nice roads in those other states/countries. I live in Michigan and most of them are not very nice around here. Except the ones near the small lakes or outer edge of Michigan for the most part. I don't have any good video or pictures yet. However, it is good practice! :D If you can ride these crummy roads, it makes the flat ones much easier.

Phillip Island.....boring ride down from Melbourne, but a day at the track makes up for it in spades!!
Always come away from that track with a ear to ear grin!

Note: roos at sun rise on the island.....there everywhere
