Hy to everyone, I'm new on this forum after riding Susuki and Hondas I purchased a 2014 ABS Panigale about 4 months ago. I already removed the charcoal box from the bike. Yesterday I went riding and while waiting at a traffic light in first gear and holding the clutch the bike turned off. It happened 2 more times but I noticed that every time it shuts off I would hear a loud click. One of the times it shut off I was in neutral and the temps was at 219. I'll taking the bike to the dealer this week, but has anyone experience this problem.

My R did this a few times during breakin, on 1st service dealer checked reset TPS done it couple times since. Now at 3200 miles can't remember last time, 1 way I rode around it was to keep a slightly open throttle while downshifting & braking. Charcoal canister was removed at PDI

My Pani has never shutoff. Not sure if it matters, but when I did my first service a month ago, the dealer's tech told me my muffler's exhaust valve is stuck in the "open" position and causing an "M1" error code. They didn't do a repair cuz they said it's a good thing, and Ducati may not cover it. I said whatevs.
So maybe there's some back-pressure thing at play here too when she gets hot?!?! I asked if they could remove the charcoal canister and gave me a wink and said they'd take care of it. Just my $.02. Good luck.

What the dealer is telling you sounds a bit dodgy to me. Disconnect the flapper valve by undoing the cable. It will stay open by a spring. There will be no error code on the dash. I posted a "how to" on this over a year ago with pictures. Its a 5 minute job with some needle nose pliers. Flapper valve has nothing to do with bike stalling at idle.
i found success in letting the bike run in neutral for about 30 seconds when coming home from a ride. after 30 seconds, use the shutoff switch and then the key. the computer 're-calibrates' during this 30 second idleing. atleast that's how it was explained to me and i haven't had any stalling issues since.
Thanks for the imput guys, great forum. I'll be taking my bike for the first oil change next week and I'll mention to the them my problem. I have noticed that sometimes the RPM does go under 1000 sometimes, so it could be the throttle position sensor.

Happened to me a couple of times early on (within first 1k miles). Since then, no recurrence.
