Clutch switch?

there is little micro switch under the bottom side of level on clutch perch...allows you to start bike in gear. Also effects mapping once depressed, supposed to help you idle better and roll off smoother from start...but its a ...... design, and totally not needed, ive removed mine for years on 1199 and 1299 bikes. you cannot just jumper it out, has to be open. If you have stock mapping still, i'd push the pin to the other side of the small arm that depresses the switch...youll see what i'm talking about when you put your eyes on it...if you move the pin to other side of arm...it will never close when you pull clutch in...so you cant start in gear...but you remove that ...... switch and mapping changes that happen when depressed...

I remember the mapping change with the clutch switch being a thing on the xx99 bikes, but I don’t think it’s a thing with the V4 or newer platforms. For sure not the V4, since the clutch switch is what causes the rear cylinders to deactivate.

The V2 does change the fueling slightly and makes it harder to stall when the clutch is activated.

With the V4, the clutch lever has to be fully pulled and contacting the grip before the switch is engaged. So if you only two finger it, it won't shut off the rear cylinders. Does the V2 switch require that much of a pull to engage?
