Hey Guys,

Most of you know I sold my Tricolore a month ago after posting my track day video.
Yesterday I finally took delivery of my 14 MV Agusta F4RR.
I am in LOVE with this bike!
Many people were like "I can't believe you sold your pani for an MV"
Trust me I loved my pani, before that I had an 848evo.
I never knew much about MV's or cared for them until I test rode and F4RR.
The power band, handling, noise, looks, weight distribution etc... I was blown away.
Yes, it might be 40lbs heavier but unless if you are a PRO rider you can't even notice the difference.
After that test ride I didn't even think twice about selling the Tricolore to get the F4RR.

Yes there are many videos that state Ducs are better than MV's etc etc.
Guys, if you have never been on an MV you need to try it, simply AMAZING.

Now to each his own, I never was a fan of the V-twin but I loved everything else on the ducati's.

I will be taking the F4RR to the track on MAY 11-12 to the Homestead intl raceway. My go pro will document the track day and I will be up against the ZX-10's, 1199's, S1000's and many other great bikes. Look forward to making the video.

Attached are some pictures I took off the everglades while I was breaking int the new bike.
Enjoy :D

Awesome! Enjoy it! I had a 2010 F4 with Bodis exhaust. Traded it in on a Panigale and regretted it immediately.

Poor comparison since Honda being Japanese will always be reliably superior.
At best, MV and Ducati's reliability will be similar but MV cannot match Ducati's parts and distribution network, not even close.

Having said that, I think MV has been making fantastic bikes lately. The F4 NOT being one of them. It is a heavy pig that badly needs a redesign.

MV has a warehouse in Pennsylvania where the keep somes parts and bikes. if they dont have it they will send it by DHL, ducati dont stock parts in the US at all everything comes from Italy by DHL. now this is the different ducati will wait until the got a big container full to ship it. MV will ship a faring bolt in an envelope from Italy. ducati only ship warranty parts by air everything else go by boat, when you go to your dealer asking to add your accessory as a parts it will here in less than 2 week, mv just send everything by air it small company.
I took me 5 day to get my MV Corsa system and it took 5 month to get the LED plate light from my MTS 1200.

The more I read your posts the more it seems you just want to stir up things and be contrary... :(

That is a sweet ride Miami Tricolore, I do miss my F41078 I had. I would still have her if I didn't have some many gas tank issues with her. Went back to the Ducati which I'm happy with also but I do miss my baby.
Those pipes look bad ... also, how do they sound. Nice color scheme also, had the black with the anthracite grey.
Njoy your new ride bro.

I have to agree.
They are a) hard to read b) generalisations and c) generally a negative view.
Ducati would be waiting a while to fill a container of parts.

miami tricolore enjoy that sweet bike and don't let this Ducati fan boy force you to drink the Ducati cool- aid.

I will see you on MV agusta.net a place the you can have a coversacion with different point of view and nobody will try to slap you (LOL).

Oh yeah??

I have to say that the new MV products are fantastic and decided to get an F3 800 last fall. It sits right next to the 1199S in the garage. Both are fantastic machines and completely different to ride. Congrats on your new F4 and be sure to post track footage.

Ciao!

Hahha.. No hate here Chris.... Am I the only one who sees Gixxer in this bike??? It also weighs more dry than the 1199 wet...so thus its what? 40 lbs heavier???

The front end looks like a fancy gixxer but the rear end is so much sexier. I test rode this bike , it is beautiful but it is a bit hard to turn. this is my experience as a non pro rider.

Guys don't get me wrong.
Panigale's are bad ..., I never thought I would sell my Tricolore.
I think that if everyone on this forum had a chance to test ride and F4RR your opinions about the brand would change.
I never liked MV's. I thought they looked weird and just frankly didn't know or want to know anything about them. All it took was 1 test ride on an F4 and I couldn't believe I have been missing out on an amazing motorcycle.
I also had the opportunity to test ride the new F3's; talk about a new track killer.

Now I don't want anyone to get the idea that I think MV is better then Ducati, because it is not.
I had my own reasons why I liked the F4 more.

Many of you might not want to ever test ride MV for the fear of just maybe liking it better than what you have now. Just a thought.

My intention of posting this thread was in reply to many of you requesting pics of my new bike after I sold the Tricolore.
I will make one last thread, that will be the track day video at Homestead intl.
Stay tuned & ride safe brothers. :)

Nice bike with a great soundtrack and incredible heritage.

I hankered after an F4 1000 Ago, when it was launched, but they were VERY expensive in the UK .... something like the equivalent of over $30k!!! They MSRP was much less in the US i recall.

Looking at the current generation F4, I also find it heavy looking, particularly around the seat/tail and tank, but then we are spoilt by the super lean 1199 in these areas.

Price of progress

You originally posted this message at 9:21....then took the time to edit it at 9:30. What exactly did you "fix" if this is the final masterpiece?

Sweet bike! I tinkered with the idea of an F4 before I bought the Pani, but after several Ducatis the idea of owning another Italian bike with only one dealer even remotely near me scared me away.

Good luck with your new ride, it looks like a nice bike

Jeff...First Gen 'Busa came out in '91 IIRC?? and that had the ugly mono headlamp...so .... I still claim this is a copy...but anyway..me being alone in my opinion is nothing new..lol..

Not owning a bike that could be mistaken for a GSX-R is one of the reasons I bought my Daytona instead of the F3.

Not a fan of the cyclops look.
