Hi Guys,

Did someone already bought the spark wsbk exhaust? Im planning to buy it and sell my termignoni 4 uscite for it. A bit board of the termig and I really like the wsbk look of the spark exhaust.

Let me know what you thought of the quality, performance and sound on the v4s. I also see they use the exhaust flap like the stock exhaust...

I dyno my v4s with the termig and upmap 190 HP on used slicks. Might be close to 200 HP on brand new hard tyres because it slipped a bit. Stock chain but will swap soon to a 520 set.

Thanks!!!

The Spark WSBK "replica" pipe at least from the literature I have is 10K USD and is not optimized for the flow characteristics of the stock motor but if you get it, you get an instant "two thumbs up" in my book. Thats a nice pipe.

Regarding the flow characteristics, have you seen dyno charts of the v4 1100cc with this exhaust? Lacking in power? They see it comes with a upmap for the ecu but im planning to tune the lower and upper injector pc5 and or Tuneboy software...

I haven’t seen any data. If their term “replica” is a replica in materials and general shape and construction then I’d say go for it. If it is a true “replica” of the works system and you don’t have the flow characteristics of the race heads (valves, cams, port work, injector system etc) then you’re not taking advantage of that system. I noticed in the photo that the works pipe incorporates electronically controlled valves, Is this on the “replica” pipe? If it is that bike has Marelli electronics, how are you going to control that? I think you need to get the specification data on what they are selling and confirm that with what they are showing. If it is a true WSBK pipe and you are not planning on doing all the mods that would make the pipe a viable integrated component, I would pass. If it’s a street/track system specifically designed to work with a stock motor and you want to dump 10k then go nuts man. I like it

Sorry, I misunderstand you!! Yes indeed it is a replica and made for the v4s and not for a wsbk specific tuned bike!!

Thanks anyway !!

I will go ahead and update you guys how it performs

My point being, if the underslung exhaust was the optimum solution, it'd be used in MotoGP.

You kind of suspect it's underslung due to the aesthetic benefits, rather than performance.

Also, due to the larger fuel tank on the WSBK, they can't run underseat.

And, the Aprilia 1100 V4 makes more power than the Ducati 1100 V4, is that also exhaust design? Don't know.

I have a custom made pair of Spark Ti end cans, together with Akrapovic headers. They sound exactly the same as the WSB bike!

To the original poster, ENDODOC has some very valid points. This pipe might not be the best option for your street bike with stock ECU.

My Akra cans were blowing about 108db, these are 118db! Got no chance of running these on a UK track, so will swap over to Akras when needed.

Proper tune is a must.
$10k Spark comes with tuning interface

Yes they did, matching the eyelets to that on the Akrapovic headers. It does sound amazing, as the cans have no baffle/wadding. Pretty much a straight through race system!

They look loud. I just read they have no baffle. When I first saw the pics earlier in the post I thought "There does not seem much room in there at the end for muffler type stuff." When I got the full Ti Akra a couple of years ago I tried ridiing once with the DB killers out. It was okay for one ride but too loud for the street. I knew my neighbours would start throwing rocks at me if I did not put them back in. LOL.

Great looking pipes.
