Bring on the excuses!... We can go back and bring up all kinds of errors on Lorenzo's part (2 helmet issues & a crash in the rain), which equate to him actually losing points, where Rossi didn't technically lose any..
Rossi capitalized on points multiple times this year, but he just did not have the speed to win enough races, which is what cost him the title.
If you look at it like this, even if Rossi could have beat Pedrosa and finished third, he still loses the title being tied on points as he didn't win enough races..
Excuses...lol! I'm sure there are lots of errors and excuses everywhere if we look for them. My only point was it could have been a different race if VR wasn't at the back. I'm not the VR fanboy that needs to be attacked by a VR hater. I would have just liked to see a good final race without the controversy and penalty to see a real heads up battle for the title.
