brand do you think if rossi started say 4th he would have been able to keep up with the three? serious question because he was off the pace a lot granted he started way back there but he made no inroads when he wasn't

you burn up a lot of tire passing 22 riders. at that point, 10-11 seconds behind Pedrosa, there's nothing more you can do, no matter how amazing you might be.

the reason why so many journalists kept drilling the question about why Marquez hadn't attempted a pass is because of the timing sheets. Lorenzo's pace started to falter near the end - it was that, combined with Pedrosa conserving his front tire, that allowed him to claw back an improbable distance and attempt to win the race. The Hondas were running faster at the end of the race. With 2-3 more laps Pedrosa could have mounted another attack. But he was out of time, and the only person capable of making a pass for the win, both in terms of skill as well as tire life, decided he was happy with 2nd.

id like any rossi fan to explain to me why he deserved the championship. he didn't lead in any category

fact is simple rossi isn't as fast as the 3 spainish riders. i told you this at the track. i told you at the track JLO would win and he did. he's 36 and is at the twilight of his career. he has had an amazing career of course but to start nonsense to save face makes him look like a sore loser. he doesn't know how MM or DP bikes were handling but he said they were faster so it must be true (i guess he road all 3 bikes today). its all nonsense.

whats the saying never let a boxing match go to the judges. well never let other riders decide the championship for you . go out there and take it.

it takes a little more to win a championship than being fastest. in 2006, Rossi was at his peak, but having problems with his bike. Marco Melandri was really fast. Toni Elias won a race. Capirossi on the Ducati was also stupid fast. But who won? Some guy who was neither the fastest, had only TWO wins, didn't finish on every podium, didn't have all the fastest laps, poles, blah blah. Being consistent across the board in all conditions produces champions. No one questions the legitimacy of the champion with the worst season stats in recent racing history.

If you have to sit in a press conference and say "I deserve to be champion because of these statistics" (which Lorenzo did), who is he really trying to convince? There's always going to be that lingering doubt in his mind because of the assistance he received.

mm personal hatred and vendetta against Rossi has no boundaries up to and including choosing not to pass the 99 and then blocking his teammate so that yamaha and his lover gets the win. That was an easy honda 1-2. I voiced my displeasure with DORNA the best way I know by canceling my video pass renewal. Moto GP has been turned into a joke by mm, the sad part is I knew he wouldn't pass his boyfriend but I didn't think he would block his team mate.
If Pedrosa can stay healthy next year 2016 just might be his year.

Exactly! The guy that's the fast out on the track on any give day except in the rain doesn't attempt to make a pass on JLo?!!! Really this is a ....... joke.

So let me guess he should have just let his teamate motor on by him without even trying?
Pedrosa even said he ran wide, but I guess he is lying also.. Even if Pedrosa won, lorenzo would of taken 2nd based on the consporacy theory, so what exactly is some people bitching about now?

MM on any other raceday would have went banzai and tried to pass, but gave lorenzo enough respect to not do his typical stuff the other guy with fairings and hope to pull through. But hey thats just my opinion.

This whole season for some will be all about Lorenzo and how he didn't actually win any races without help, let alone win the title...

Horrible for the sport. I pray for MotoGP when Rossi retires. No I don't; WSBK > GP.

This thread reminds me of the fanatics you hear about where they beat up fans of the road team on their home field.

It's perfectly fine to be a fan of the sport as a whole, favor a certain rider over the rest of the field, etc. Even to be as passionate about the sport specifically is acceptable but the level of hatred being expressed over a rider is ridiculous. What's worse is talkin .... and throwing insults at one another over something NO ONE HERE has .... to do with. Seriously though. Share views, opinions and witty banter but don't stoop to personal attacks over some disagreement just because you don't share the same views on a ...... sport!!

If there was foul play, so be it. If it resulted in a different outcome as far as the championship goes, guess what...WHO CARES? None of the possible outcomes affect you on a personal level unless you're a gambling man and place bets. And if you're placing bets on something you have zero control over, then that's a whole different topic I won't get into.

Bottom line is, enjoy the races, regardless of the outcome, express difference of opinions and make for some great conversation. If everyone shared the same view on things, people wouldn't have .... to talk about. Some of you guys need to calm the .... down and not get all bent out of shape over a stupid race. The world continues to spin and life goes on.

AMEN. Totally on the same page.
If you think it's bad here, you should jump over to the motogp forum. They're ready to kill each other over there.

I am definitely among those that are very upset over how the season ended, specifically about how Marc Marquez decided to influence the outcome. Sport becomes less enjoyable when results are tainted.

But having thought about it through the day, it's not the end of the world. I've learned something about Spanish riders. And today's results do not diminish what I have loved about this season - the brilliant wins that Rossi pulled off against faster riders, the resurgence of Ducati as a competitive team. Hell, I rewatched this last race, and instead of focusing on Marquez' infuriating ride, I watched Rossi at his absolute best, passing 21 riders in the MotoGP class, which is probably a record. I'm going to rewatch some other races. Argentina - where Marquez was untouchably faster than Rossi, and yet....Rossi wins. I'm going to rewatch the races where Iannone and Doviziosi kicked ass.

This was a great season, one of the very best ever, where the 4th fastest rider (Rossi) managed to hold the points lead from the beginning until the last race. How he managed to do that is a testament to a great rider and motorcyclist. Let boring-ass Lorenzo have his trophy. I never gave a flying .... about him, his boring personality, his oversized ego, so why should I start now?

Well said"¦
Someone should close this thread now, and we can ALL get along with our lives"¦

you seriously have problem mark. this is why 99% of people don't like you other than claymore who likes EVERY post you make...which seems odd.

I hesitated to open your thread but against my common sense, I opened your thread because I thought, for once you will have sensible post or professional comment BUT I WAS WRONG AGAIN. At least you are consistent.

I, like most like to have a good discussion or even friendly argument but you are so hateful of Rossi, we can't talk to you like a normal person. And the point is You don't care about Lorenzo or Marc or Pedrosa. You ONLY care about Hating Rossi (from last 2 years of posts). which gives you ZERO credibility.

Ok. Rossi lost. I'm disappointed but it is what it is, but your senseless and relentless childish posts makes you sound more stupid IMO...

I been on this forum for a while and active throughout all topics and I never see people act the way you do. I am 100% sure that anyone active on this forum would NOT have posted like you did in this topic....YES even your hated Rossi fans.

And I AGREE with Price Albert. This Thread should've been closed after first 10 child like SPAM by Mark.

I actually like the forum's moderator behaviour. They keep it open for different opinions and the way they moderate it is perfect! Also the site's quality (content, design, availabilty, free of spam and annoying ads) is top!!!

@youngR: Just ignore thread posts where you completely disagree after a few comments. Others will understand your POV and let others "fight" for their opinions. Their's nothing to win here :)

I have always liked Pedrosa..he is more of a quite/humble guy. I would like to see him win it all next year .

so if JLo really said that he's even dumber than i thought:
