I honestly think Race direction can't let Rossi go free on this one.

I think he will get -5 points since it will still leave it to the last race to let JLo and Rossi to fight it out.

that seems legit. can't make him start last that makes him lose automatically. can't black flag that makes the last race useless.

i will be hearing moto gp song for the next week in my sleep

When Rossi made that comment about MM, I thought he was doing the reverse phychology on him but after I saw this race, Rossi was right about MM helping.

but having said that this doesn't help Rossi.

Ben Spies just tweeted:

Gonna be interesting. @marcmarquez93 asked for it the whole race and @ValeYellow46 intentionally gave it to him so both riders are at fault

in the press conference (motogp) i thought it was all a joke they were all laughing. then at the italy conference boom no jokes etc.

either way you can't take a rider out

ben spies gave a politically correct comment

forget bickering who said what lets just talk about the move. was it a racing incident i don't think so.

I have to say (being a huge Rossi fan) that this action was not correct or fair at all. Everything else than a disqualification of Rossi would be huge surprise. One can clearly see how Rossi takes three good looks at MM before he moves his left leg against (I'm not quite sure) MM's shoulder or even helmet that causes him to crash. That's not fair sportsmanship!

BUT, as Ben Spies just said, MM asked for it twice, in PI and Sepang again. It is more than obvious that MM just lets JL pass, not even trying to battle him and just waits for Rossi to close up. Then he does several risky and very hard moves on Rossi. I think they touched more then once before the final crash.

I have no idea about MM's intention behind all these actions, but I can undertsand Rossi getting angry at MM and showing this reaction (which doesn't make this action legitimate!). As for MM, you either pass and disappear or you let Rossi pass and try to follow his pace. That's why Rossi waived at MM before the incident "come and follow me to close on JL". Everything else in such an early stage of the race does just not make sense for a race strategy in my oppinion.

We'll see what the reace direction will decide. But I think that Rossi's championship sadly was lost the moment he crashed with MM.

but Ben is neutral on this and he is saying Marc IS helping Lorenzo.

Also, I think Rossi just got -3 points.

nicely objective

Rossi gets 3 penalty points and starts from the back of the grid in valencia

uhh. let me do the math here.

Rossi just lost the Championship. What a sad way to finish MotoGP this year... Wanted to see fight till the last race.

this is a question not a comment or defense of what MM was doing. the announcers were saying he had no front grip was that why he couldn't stay past rossi

danny said his leg was moving he needs to watch again. it does look like he kicked him

It's 3 points on Rossi's license and when a rider gets 3 points that means they start from the back of the grid. Rossi still has a 7 pt lead so Lorenzo still needs to try to win the race.
