But there are those of us that put it on way before the R was announced - So Ducati copied us when you think about it :D

if you already had it on, that's fine. personally i don't think one should worry about the motivation for applying the stickers, it really doesn't matter what others think. i've applied a few extra stickers myself but certainly nothing meant to confuse my S with an R. ;) j/k I applied Pirelli on the front...before Ducati R did so.

Corse and "R" mean the bike has been massaged by Ducati Corse. Unless I mod my bike to be higher performance as the R model, it feels like posing. I don't have titanium conrods, or adjustable swingarm, or all of that carbon fiber bits, or the modded sprocket. I'm happy with my S, as it should last longer too, due to slightly( and I do mean very slightly) less oomph for my purpose.

I'm with the guys that want to break up the red scheme....looks way better (just might be the reason why I bought it). If you are doing it to make it look like something it isn't then you are a poser.

just curious trauma did you get the metallic sticker with the red white and green under it?

i dont think a poser is putting on the ducati corse sticker. it was out way before the R came out. a poser would replace the s with the r and what not. like putting amg on a non amg car which the car then is something its not. just ducati corse is not saying i have a R.
i also thought about just the ducati sticker on the bottom like the tri. thats not posing either.

Regardless i am not worried about posing cause i know im not. im not in any way suggesting i have a R.

Stickers are only cool when they smell like grape or strawberry ... no sticker !!

Other than the gas tank, I really don't like the lettering and the stripes on the "R". The all red or white is plain, but elegant. All the other stuff just looks like unnecessary clutter to me. Plus do you really need everyone to read ducati from far away? Seems like more of a bragging right to stick that on to me.

Obviously this is nothing more than an opinion and taste. I did the entire R decal set on my white base and I'm not a poser in any way shape or form. People do things to their bike since it is usually a direct reflection of their desire to be "different." Sure it may not seem different to us folks on the forums since there are people from all over the world here but I can say that I am 100% no one local to me has a bike similar to mine. I like different. I also like contrast. Break up the solid color and add some flare to the bike. I don't do it for braggin rights but I certainly do it for the endless desire to be different.

Can't go wrong with the corse decal....unless of course you choose the wrong color to go with your red bike :)

Come on, girls... it's not like Michelangelo designed it, sticker/no sticker, who gives a ....!

On the other hand, if you have 2" chicken strips, I might say something:D

It was part of the decal, it was all one piece. The font is actully a bit smaller than the R's, and I got this last Fall bfore you saw much of this design. I liked the Italian colors, as they matched the tail, and the Luimoto seat cover I have yet to put on :)

We had that one guy, put the entire Tri sticker kit on his Base! Some complained, some defended.

^This sums it up. Pretty well Why didn't you post earlier and save us the time? Are you and Frosty sure you're not from New York?

Here's the deal: Frosty and I are practically brothers, only problem is that Mom was too high to remember.:D:D
