Notice the stock levers on 1199 and 1299 superbikes taper towards the ends. It feels so skinny to me and lacks positional feel as its all rounded. My MV have similar top shelf Brembo components but the levers on that are shaped not tapered but wider towards the middle in a way that feels much more solid and gives great positional feel and control. What to do with the stock levers? Do I loose on durability if I change then out to the DP Levers for $450? Input appreciated.

I always change levers. On my S1000RR I spent big bucks on Brembo folding levers. They were meh.

I have now switched all my Ducatis to CRG carbon fiber levers. I like the rounded feel, and they won't get icy cold in winter like metal levers. AND they were affordable!

The prices DP wants for .... is just ridiculous. They expect people to pay 2-4x what something costs from other companies simply because it says "Ducati" on it.

Have you seen the price of .... like their CF fenders? I'm like, really? And don't get me started on that ....... $5k exhaust.

You can get the DP levers for around $350. Still a lot, but they are the best for looks and function on the Panigale. They are one of the slimmest.

Once you go aftermarket on rearsets and levers it's hard to go back to stock =-(

Thnx for input, yeah i figure once I upgrade it will be hard to go back so still holding out on rearsets. The DP rearsets look so nice and i bet they feel nice and tactile as well. I will look at the CRGs and DP levers next for upgrading

+1 on the CRG Carbon Fiber levers. Standard clutch - shorty brake.

Not in a million years would I dish out 450 for a set of levers!!

As stated several times in here, CRG are my brand of choice too- and yes they do have that Carbon color now which I wish I knew about! lol (you know me gents!) :)

I love the shorties after years of using them, but some don't like em, or use them on just one side and the regular length on other side. All personal preference my man!

Hit me up if you'd like some assistance on levers! ;)

Will the CRG carbon levers fit on Brembo RCS master cylinders (17 brake, 16 clutch)?

Nope but AEM makes CF levers for Brembo RCS Bellissimoto have them. I had the CRG CF levers on my 1199 then swapped out the two MC clyinders with Brembo RCS and put the AEM on. Good thing i kept the CRG CF because i installed them on my 1299.

Good to know the CRG carbon levers stubby fit the 1299, no issues with clutch micro switch?

No issues at all.. The shorties are definitely on the shorter side, compared to other shorties I have owned. The quality is amazing though.

I found the clutch a bit too strong to go with the shorty since I use it on the street. standard length is shorter than stock.

brake shorty does work well, however.
