At $600+ no KushiTushy for me... I'm into Sliders Kevlar at $80 a pop..:p

I wore my new Alpinestars S- MX Plus boots this weekend. More comfortable than any motorcycling boot I've ever worn (I've worn Sidis for nearly 30 years but got tired of killing zippers) and ventilation is extraordinary. I highly recommend 'em!

I'd also like to hear opinions on footwear.

Often times I wear my Sidi Vortice's, which obviously offer some the best protection on the planet, and while they are not too bad to walk in, they squeak like hell and everyone notices. I'd really only like to use them at the track and during spirited mountain rides.

I don't want some crappy pair of barely-over-the-ankle shoes that really aren't gonna do much. Any suggestions for street riding?

I have the Sidi Armada for my street riding. They are a touring boot but still offer great protection and the top portion is removable so you can eliminate all possible squeaking. I have been very pleased with them.

I know many riders wear leathers and essentially track gear while riding on the street, others not so much. I'd rather not wear leather pants and race boots, so I'm wondering what others use instead, but are able to still stay reasonably protected in a fall.

Right now, I'm using the BMW City 2 pants that has some minimal armor for hips and knees and a material that is supposedly on par or possibly exceeds Kevlar. I also have the Dainese Asphalt shoes. I do wear a Dainese jacket and of course full-face helmet, also Held titan gloves.

I'd like to get shoes/boots that have more protection, but are comfortable and I can walk in. I was thinking of these AS SMX-5.

I was also thinking of getting jeans and using these underneath. Forcefield Pro pants. Any opinions or reccomendations welcomed. Thanks.

i wear sliders kevlar jeans. they offer the most kevlar at the cheapest price. you can find these on compacc.com

i wear either an alpinestars stunt mesh jacket very air flowing or an alpinestars leather depending on the temperature.

i have 3 pairs of gloves. by far the best hand protection i have seen is on the knox handroid gloves. they are expensive though but i love them and are broken in right out of the box.
i also have the alpinestars gp plus glove and the alpine stars thunder air (for hot summer temps). honestly the gp plus glove for me has gone by the wayside.

boots i wear the forma velocity. for the track its forma ice flow

boots i considered for casual riding where i would stop at say like an outdoor lunch place in the city were dainese dyno a* smx2 and sidi street burners. i ended up with the forma velocity. lower or cropped boots according to revzilla are not really protective so why spend all the extra coin. i hope this write up helped

Hey Mark, what's up? Thanks. I have the agv kevlar jeans and they seem pretty rugged, but for the price of the sliders I'm going to get a pair of those. Also going to check out the A* mesh jacket.

I'm liking the forcefield shorts and knee protectors underneath the jeans. I agree with you about the boots. Take it easy.

My track attire is all Dainese and in my opinion there is nothing better for the street or the track. That being said, my more toned down street gear is a Revit Warrior Jacket and Revit Gear 2 pants with Sidi Armada boots and Dainese 4 Stroke gloves. This gear is not nearly as technical as some which makes very comfortable and gives a much more casual look while still providing a great deal of protection. Here are the links.
