Hi guys,

I am new to this forum. I just got my Streetfighter V4. It's still in break-in period and I'm thinking of adding some crash protections just in case.

Do you guys know what kind of protection is needed? I would like to only protect parts that will get hit during a (minor) crash. There are too many products that protects parts that will never get hit, or parts that are cheap.

Frame sliders? spindle bobbins? clutch/alternator covers?

It will be great if you are nice enough to share some actual after-crash pictures.

Thanks!

Congrats @hodorah!

I’m in the same boat. I have about 450 miles on my v4S.

I’m going to get crash sliders and radiator/oil cooler protector (both from evotech). I’ve never used spindle bobbins nor bar end sliders so not sure how much value they add.

As far as they engine/clutch cover, that’s an interesting one. My hope is the frame sliders will protect. Hopefully someone else who has them will chime in.

Hope that helps.

At the dealer I saw one SF that went down :( . Bar ends and lever, wings, damage to clutch housing and peg, tail section trashed. I suppose if it goes down on the other side, your swingarm might get nicked up. The good news is the wings appear to be able to take a pretty good thrashing and there was no tank and frame damage.
