Are there any sub-$400 paddock stands available now that work with the Panigale? I'd prefer to have a paddock stand vs two pit bull stands, but the price for the paddock stand would have to be similar to the price of two pitbull stands to make it worthwhile to me.

Are you talking about a lift-type stand that lifts on an engine mount or other point mid-bike, rather than a separate front and rear stand?

In lieu of Pitbull stands, have you considered T-Rex Racing stands? I have the rear single-arm, forward-swinging stand and it is very efficient in lifting the Pani and extremely stable.

Yes, a stand that lifts from the mid section of the bike.

Which T-Rex is used for the front steering head? Also, who actually has the rear T-Rex stand in stock?

I'm only familiar with the Bursig one: Shop

There was supposed to be a similar alternative, but I don't remember it. It requires some fairing modification to work and of course doesn't meet your price criteria.

T-Rex has a front head-lift stand that's compatible with the 1199: Gold Galvanized TRex Front Triple Tree Motorcycle

I think T-Rex sells directly, but you can inquire on their site if they have dealers that have the product in stock. They have other finishes that may be in stock, I didn't look through all of them. This link should show you everything they have for the 1199:

T-Rex stands for a Ducati would be like putting fake stick-on carbon fiber on your Ferrari. :p

Ouch!

I'm telling you, the rear stand above works like a peach. Other than the finish which is bit prone to pitting, I couldn't see how it could be improved. Plus, the "frame" sliders have already proven their worth in saving bodywork in crashes by 2 members on here.

They used to have a bad rep, but they really have good stuff now, in my experience. The savings helps me buy me other stuff for my toy.

Ha ha! I'm just partial to Pit Bull since they are the standard that T-rex is a knock-off of. ;)

Bursig is fantastic with my Multistrada but I'm not willing to cut the fairing on my 1199R, so Pitbull it is.

It says you don't have to cut fairings you can also remove lower fairing so you can lift bike to work on it.

That's what I get for not doing my research... If no fairing mods are needed, then this is the ticket. The Busig has allowed me to store the Multi safely in a corner or against a wall, and to move it into place when I want to work on it. Now, what am I gonna do with the Pitbull stand?!

At the 0:27 mark in the linked video you can see where a notch has been cut into the fairing.

If you look at the bike from the side it's pretty clear that you either need to remove or mod your fairings for the stand to work as otherwise the hole the bracket slides into is partially obstructed.

Bursig's video showing how to make the cut...
