LOL. Isn't always the same when a new model comes out?? How did we enjoy our bikes before...

Me. I'll keep mine. With a full Termi, MWR, Rapidbike Race module and head work I am getting the same 187-188 at the rear. I'd love to have the additional electronics, but it isn't exactly like wheelie control and clutch less down shifting are deal breakers.

She's a beauty and will make new owners very, very happy, just not me. My .02

Just because I am really curious... What is being done as part of the head work? I'd eventually like to add a little more oompf to my bike as well and haven't been able to find any information, let alone, a shop that can/will do it.

my dealere is already working this. When they get their 1st 1299 in they will be able to mod the 1199's lots of engineering and works goes into it. Ill keep everyone informed about it

Gotta figure that someone somewhere is already planning on an aftermarket 1299 ("big bore") kit to retrofit all the 1199s out there.

Zohsix01 had work done to his 1199, cam timing and head work. Maybe he will chime in.

Perfect!! I hope he will... It seems everyone likes to keep their magic "secrets". I just like to know so I can plan bit by bit as the "Wallet Holder" allows me to spend. :)

I read somewhere that the 3-axis IMU of the 2015 Panigale will be upgraded to the 6-axis IMU (ala 2015 R1) sometime mid-year.

I'll be pissed if they do it in 2016. Better hold that for the next model.

Lol, can't stop progression.

The thought had occured to me a few months ago when I read about the R1 IMU that they were the only one's using it. Which seemed likely to change with the current electronics war going on.

Flipside to the coin is it probably makes very little difference on a street bike, and the other manufactures could simply include it in the various race kits that are going to be offered as part of the new rules packages with FIM/Moto America.

I'd still be pissed lol. But it could be added later if I wanted it. But then again the R1 will most likely be my race bike so it shouldn't matter much.

Can't please everyone! :D

Saw another dyno claim for the R1 from Holland that said it was 4hp short of a 2015 S1000rr on the same dyno. However the post was subsequently deleted.

If we were all please with what's available we'd still be riding horses lol. When the teams do their pre mod Dyno runs I'll pay attn. I don't put much stock in Dyno runs really. It's about how it puts power down and the feel to me.

Same. Once they hit 150 RWHP I quit caring about top end or highest hp. It's all about that midrange and feel.

I am fortunate to live close to a race engine shop that does the work. They specialize in car engines, but one of the team came from a background with Aprilia Racing and does side work.

I didn't have any work done on the cams, just a full port and polish of the factory heads to remove casting debris and shape the heads for better flow. Anything else would be a waste without a larger airbox, which I have no intention of purchasing.

Also had the installation of Carillo rods and custom balancing of the crankshaft.

Cosmok you know you are close to Ferracci right. They are already working on a bore kit for it. So it will be a one stop shop for the job.

Yes, I buy a lot of my parts from them. I bought the bike from Martin Eurosports in Coopersburg(the RSV4 as well) but find the guys at Ferraci easier to work with.

I'm not going to do anymore work on the bike. It is exactly where I want it and I am overwhelmed by the performance. Once I run my course with the Pani, I'm going the old man route and picking up something comfortable to ride. Maybe a Diavel. I'm done with Superbikes. I love 'em to death but I am getting too old to enjoy to their full potential.
