A monumental day for me today - first time ever turned over and apparently VERY LOUD. All good so far. Steve has really done some magic with the ECU - combining all the good bits of the SL and super stock ECU's - some 300+ maps apparently. Not many in the world that can do that. So anyone going to him for work - make sure you give him the respect he deserves.

Off to dyno she goes.

Just awaiting short throttle, battery bracket and HEL brake lines and then she will be complete. Not long now, tick tock.

Some pics - first is weight of tank with foam, pump and cap.... not bad eh? Second is Ti pipes coloured after start, third with carbon heat protection under rear subframe.

How much for that exhaust?

So, first track day yesterday - all went well. Three 20min sessions to try her out and shake down/check everything.

Awesome experience and going to be great getting better and better on her. Set up from MR excellent; suspension, brakes awesome. Engine - even at run in pace is stonking. Pirelli slicks incredible and can't wait to trust rear as much as I trust the front!

I so enjoyed following your build. Thank you for sharing the experience. :)
I know they are tiny details; however, I am curious about where you sourced your rubber frame stoppers and the carbon crash protection for that beautiful carbon tank.
Thanks again!

Man... that 3 pic, scares the .... out of me!

Not because of the lean angle, but because of the position of the front wheel.
Looks like you where 1 inch away to loose the front wheel!

EDIT: Also spoted the same on the 4th picture! Lean angle, OK! But the wheel is to much "turned" to the inside.

Incredible. Bravo, sir, for building what's essentially a WSBK--and then getting out on the track to find its limits. Keep it comin'.

It's been a while and a forum member reminded me I should do an update.

First off, thanks to all of you on here for being positive and supportive about this project.

The last time I rode this baby was December last year:(. On this ride, it became obvious the suspension was too firm (it had been set up to Kuba Smrz base settings by the builder motor Rapido in UK) and so I spent some time checking sag, rebound and compression. Even with me on the bike with all the gear the sag was minimal. So we adjusted all this and then focussed on the compression and rebound. What was really cool was getting the rebound of the bike to respond in unison. Thinking logically, it was inevitable the bike was going to be too stiff on Kuba's settings - his bike is 165kg, whereas mine is 150kg! I was meant to try the bike out with new settings in April but alas it did not happen. Summer came and she was packed away.

The season is now upon us again and I am adding a couple of changes to the bike - the pukka wsbk works rear shock with hydraulic preload adjuster and bikesports developments auto blipper. Both should be fitted in next two weeks.

I will then take her for ride to see how the new suspension and autopiler works and am actually really looking forward to it - the bike was pretty good in the "too firm settings" so I imagine it will be even better. With the autoblipper it will be interesting to see how it goes - I have fitted similar to my R1M and its some piece of kit!
