Well I am making no claims for the dyno accuracy or otherwise but I was surprised it was that high....

no one answered the question.... besides me being caveman, in the dark, i need intervention, bla bla.... If i'm new to ducati how can i get one?? WHY ONLY THE GUYS THAT OWN CERTAIN BIKES get invite, maybe i was cheap then!!

It was possible to get one even if you didn't get an invite. The invitations were sent to good customers of Ducati (be it previous owners of the Desmosidici, other high end bikes, multiple new bikes), and/or good customers of Ducati dealers.

I did not originally receive an invite but was able to get a bike by having a good relationship with a few dealers (and by luck that there was some hesitation about buying a bike for this kind of money sight unseen).

so...

You somehow managed to avoid the media blitz and endless chatter/controversy among ducatisti (on perceived value) of this bike for the last 6 months and now you suddenly want one and are blaming who, exactly?

you can still get one. find a GOOD dealer and have a serious talk.

i've been offered one, but that's outta my league.

I didn't miss the media bliss, i just didn't care, and when i saw one last week i was interested a little, but then turned away from the invite part, and my dealer knows I'm cheap SO I'M OUT!!! thanks for info though, moaybe i'll change my mind
