So I recently got my Superstock "pro manifold" kit in the mail. Brand new

Im debating to install it on my R or sell it and get the akra like I had planned while waiting for this pipe

any thoughts? power difference? etc

Well if you do go akra I'll buy the manifold from you. It comes with a different up map correct?

yes it does, brand new everything is still wrapped in original packaging. just waited a few months for it.

I saw some previous threads, where people have just trimmed the shroud and fan is still able to be retained.

This deletes the fan does it not????

Yes it does, which makes me think if one goes this route"¦.its go all the way or not at all, meaning that person should probably get a super stock radiator/oil cooler to keep the bike from melting down"¦lol.

Definitely for the committed racer that's for sure.....

In the end the fan is pretty ....... useless anyway…lol. If your moving its a mute point to have it, and if your stuck in traffic your dumb for riding this bike on the streets and then taking the wrong turn.

Road use : i think the Akra will have the edge... better low down. Pro-manifold worsens below 6,5K but improves once over it ... you have a great ops here to to a unique dyno :) the PRO vs AKRA hasn't been done before... :) i couldn't see het advantage for the AKRA vs 2012, but i'm sure the dev work on the SL has changed that.. i'm changing to SBK pipe from Corse to fill the dip once and for all...

The super stock upmap makes the fan redundant even if you keep it. You will have to fit a separate switch to activate the fan manually.

I have the super stock upmap on my bike and my fan has been removed. She runs cool except when bogged down in traffic. If that happens I must either pull over and switch off or get out of the traffic super quick.

I will probably put my fan back and fit a manual switch.

thank you for the input il take a look at the shroud that's given in the kit and the fan that's on the bike.

I Know that is impossible to install the fan with this exhaus..

I guess the only major advantage I could see with akra is the weight savings.. haven't really seen anyone make a big power difference with akra yet

Which exhaust did Ducati's latest "pinnicle of engineering use"? Hmmmmm....
