Superstock Pro manifold or akra?

Ducati Forum

Help Support Ducati Forum:

The super stock upmap makes the fan redundant even if you keep it. You will have to fit a separate switch to activate the fan manually.

I have the super stock upmap on my bike and my fan has been removed. She runs cool except when bogged down in traffic. If that happens I must either pull over and switch off or get out of the traffic super quick.

I will probably put my fan back and fit a manual switch.

Check with Wayne to see if tuneboy can help you here in some way.

I'm confused

I thought you were selling your 1199.

After some recent events I've decided to keep my R. Then fix sell my S if my insurance company doesn't write it off. And besides, those fugly jap bikes would run me $5,000 a year to insure when my r only costs $1,450 a year.
I'll stick with the duc and just deal with what happens. My complaining has for the most part ceased. She is simply too beautiful to stay mad at for long.

glad you decided to keep it! now go use that warranty and fix any issues that occur its winter anyway perfect time to get any little thing fixed

Il post some pics tonight since the bike is bare bone right now while I decide on the exhaust

I love the look of the akra. but id rather have a bike that has a better power band more than anything else.

It does have there provision for the fan in this kit and looks like the shroud is pre cut for it

Easy enough

Akrapovic Exhaust System Ducati 1199 Panigale 2012-2013 - RevZilla

Have you guys seen the akra is "only" $3400 @ Revzilla...?
Not bad if you ask me. Once my tax refund comes around in February my bike may be getting a beautiful new titanium system :) for the start of next season.

I've seen it at asking price of $3900-$4400 everywhere else so I figured I'd share.

That even beats Motomummy's $3437. Now if vendors that frequent this forum could come up to the plate...

I called spal USA technical support guy tells me u can't take the fan apart and get it out of the shroud

Clearly he is wrong :) success !

4 inch fan will work perfectly and not touch the pipe and I will use a toggle switch for just in case I need the fan

30cfm less by using a 4 vs stock 5.2"

Thank you roadracerx for the install PDF! So much easier

So the oem fan works fine it's close but clearance is not a issue
The fan blade pops off just use a tap and hammer and it pops off the motor from the shaft

Pipe looks amazing! And well so do these wheels :) thank you ronin for the advice I added some galfer pro series rotors as well

Pics tomorrow of the update showing fan clearance

I just need to find the thread size and bolt to plus the front and rear additional small bungs before I go any further

Actually, Zohsix01 referred me to a friend of his for a set of wheels.

Gold Magnesium Marchesinis.

No problems: quick delivery, great condition, and pure honesty.

And Zohsix01 helped us seal the deal with a more than fair price for me and a solid sale for the seller.

So, from personal experience, I give Zohsix01 and his connections a +1199!

for those installing closed bellypans, make sure you adapt them so the hot air can flow out from behind the lower radiator...
