Has anyone with the S model removed their stock electronic Ohlins suspension, to swap out for non-electronic suspension? I'm curious what the computer does, or nothing at all?

Does the R and/or base model have the same dash software and can navigate through the suspension settings (just nothing happens obviously).

I've been told there's not enough adjustment and making quick changes in hot pit is impossible.

There is a thread around here with some fast cats, stating guys are running near pro lap times with the stock suspension.

It is easy to change.

If your racing only, you can buy a kit that disables the electronics and gives you manual adjustments.

At that point you may want to throw out the internals and have them built.

Or you could try out riding the stock set up first.

The electronics are just 3 x saved rebound/compression damping, allowing you to switch between riding set up quickly (e.g., getting on the track, use track setting. Getting off the track to get lunch, use road setting. When it suddenly rains, soften everyhing up). Nothing more. If you carry 3mm allen key in your pocket and don't mind stopping for 2-3 minutes to re-click the adjusters, you don't need the electronics.
