Hello Everyone
I hope this is the correct area of the forum to post......I own a 2015 1299 Panigale base. I am in a position to purchase either the Ohlins FGRT 203 forks and the TTX shock, or the cartridge kit with shock combo. I was wondering if I can get some opinions/information on which option is best. The bike will likely not see the track, as the closest one requires me to cross an ocean. I understand that the new suspension would be suited for track riding but I will purchase either of the suggested suspension options regardless, as it will be a personal preference. I can say that I haven't had issues with the current set up except that is is under sprung for my weight.

Thanks in advance,

Since it's a street bike, whichever option you pick will be the right one. There is no wrong choice here. I don't even ride hard through canyons on my bike and baby the hell out of it and I have the forks, shocks and damper on my base 1199 with probably an inch or so chicken strips. Why? Because I'm addicted to modding. Suspension definitely wasn't a "need" for me. I just wanted the Ohlins bling. Your reasoning at this point should be whether you're willing to spend the extra cash for the forks over the cartridges.

Thanks for the honesty. At this point money is no problem. I just wanted insight of those that have done the change of suspension. Like you suspension is not a need just a want.

My 1199 base marzocchi forks were ..... Replaced them once due to loss of rebound (known problem) n decided i no longer wanted to deal with it n said oh well. Let's go full ohlins. Even though my marzocchi forks were shot, my riding isn't and still not aggressive enough where it mattered. I have my cbr600 for that kinda riding. If money is no object, may as well go gas charged fgr300's at $13k lol
