So I partially stripped the threads for the tank bracket. I can't for the life of me figure out how to remove the bracket, and I can't even find it in the service manual.

I got another bracket from Ducati Omaha, but I'm stuck. Thoughts?

Are you asking me for pics? Pics of what?

I don't have an issue with taking the tank off, its the aluminium bracket that bolts to the airbox that is a pain in the ....

exactly. pics of what you're talking about. what other kind of pics would I be asking for? You're the one that asked for suggestions...I'm just trying to get all of the pertinent info before trying to help. Good luck with your problem.

That bracket is held on with bolts that are intentionally hard to get out. Reason being is that it holds the ignition on and if it was easy to get off it would be easy to steal the bike.

The bolts that hold the ignition are not extended to be removed without destroying them.
Best bet is to use vise grips and some heat to break loose the locktite. You will need too order new bolts.

Might help if you retitled this thread ignition bracket removal. As has been said you can remove the bolts. I can give you a suggestion on how by PM. Not a lover of posting ways to beat a security measure on a public forum. New bolts are wasted (quilled) so are designed to be loctited and torqued in place and will shear at a specific point leaving enough thread to bolt the ignition barrel on over the top
