Tank Tube

Anyone else see a problem here??

I was removing the fairings and a few other things to remove the suspension, and I found this little situation. It seems both tubes go to the top of the emissions canister (which I plan on removing shortly) but which tube is supposed to be connected, and why are there two??!

looks like the breather tube from the gas cap. should go down to your emissions canister. there are 2 nozzles on the tanks, check the parts diagram here: http://store.proitalia.com/ducati_oem_parts.php

on page 100 you can see which is which.

better fix it good, as over fueling will let the gas pass through here and pour on the parts.

mine is still on after 6k miles, just checked it yesterday while fitting the track fairings.
