Not sure if any of you've seen it already, but I found it interesting to see that perhaps Ducati is coming to grips with admitting the frameless design is flawed.

Not sure if any of you've seen it already, but I found it interesting to see that perhaps Ducati is coming to grips with admitting the frameless design is flawed.
That pic just shows a trellis subframe; no change to the front air box/subframe. The 899 has a trellis rear subframe too. Simply easier and a lot cheaper to move stuff around and make more room for more fuel tank mods with a welded piece like that than an expensive casting like the OEM part. Not a big thing, and certainly nothing to do with affecting grip via more flex like you'd get with a full trellis. Next? ;-)
According to every pic I've seen, the 899 has the same subframe as the 1199.
