Well I'm getting close to winter project completion, thought I would share a tease photo or two that I snapped today when I brought the tail home for graphics. We decided that it would be better to apply the graphics while on the subframe because of the multi-piece tail.
I assure you the graphics are more even than they look in the picture, the light plays tricks on the eye and I was very careful. It is not perfect, but it's close. Damn things are hard to apply.
The color is Starfire Pearl. Lexus pearl white, as seen on my ISF in the background. The graphics are carbon versions of the full R scheme. They have been returned to the painter and will be clear coated over top until smooth. It was a little more expensive but it will be worth it.
On a side note, I am very unhappy with OPP Racing. As they are the distributor of CDT (Fullsix) in North America, all retailers buy through them. My left electronics holder was scratched when it came to me so I sent it back for a replacement and it has been 3.5 months since that happened. They still cannot give my retailer an ETA. February 27 was the latest and all he said was "it is on the way." I had to cancel my nose fairing because I still hadn't received it either, so I had my factory one painted instead because I want to ride sometime this month, not in May or June. Also, TAW is having a real hard time getting Marchesini wheels. I need a set of M10R magnesium, and they don't have a full set in any color. This last bit of the build is very frustrating. I decided not to ship my bike away for tuning and instead sent my ECU out, when it comes back I should be up ~15whp with a much smoother throttle. I have a feeling that so many changes at once, sprockets (15/41, 520 conversion) full exhaust and fresh air delete will be very radically different so I won't be able to comment on the ECU tune alone, but we shall see.
Anyways, that's all for now. Enjoy the teaser, and if anyone knows where the hell I can find some M10R mag's (or my left electronics holder) it would be appreciated.
