so......... I am thinking of putting on Termignoni decals on my stock exhaust.........reason being its not really worth spending $2.5K for slip ons that almost look, perform and sound identical to the stock exhaust, they are suppose to be heat resistant....do you think they will be in the long term???......and I must ask is this a ...... thing to do. I know you will all be honest

Wtf? You're joking right? Why the hell would anyone need to do this, and why would you even put this up out in public?

......? Sorry, yes. Just leave the stock exhaust on if thats what you wanna do. No need to be a poser like those with base models having entire bike done over in Tri Colore paint and putting the S on it too. Why? Obviously I dont know your financial situation but slip ons really are not that expensive in the long run. Start saving and forget the stickers. :)

lol I thought that would be the response.....anyone with termi slips ons....how much different do they sound and perform?

Hey, this is no different then the guy that put full Tri decals on his base, and everyone defended him.

PS Gunny and I were not in that "everyone"

I know you are, but people have/will. Same with cars. What's funny, is the people that really know what is behind the difference a decal makes, also know when it's fake. So they are fooling no one.

yep a ...... thing to do, just like using carbon fiber vinyl to simulate CF.
But to be fair, I think the stock exhausts are made by termi too, used to be anyway.

But at the end of the day, it's your bike and you're free to do what you like with it.

yeah my neighbour has an older Merc C320 and has C500 badge on it.....thats sad

In our Jeep club a guy had a V8 badge on his V6 Grand Cherokee - now that is pathetic.

In my defence it was very early on a monday morning when i posted...guess i was not thinking to clearly....

i actually go the opposite with my cars. i take the badging off. Stickers really come on dude and the slips you can get anywhere for 1700. i dont know where you got the 2500 price from.

One guy at my gym took the badging off his cl 500 benz (which is a fantastic car anyway) and but the amg and cl 55 badges on and HE PUT THEM ON BACKWARDS. He put the amg on the left and the cl55 on the right. not only that put when a benz says amg it is stamped on the exhaust the seats everywhere your not fooling anyone. YOU ONLY FOOL YOUNG CHICKS. OLDER ONES KNOW THE BIKES AND CARS PRICE BETTER THEN WE DO LOL.

Exactly, I'm confused, some people giving this guy ...., also said and have put or that they are ok with putting that Ducati corse decal on their bikes..... so its ok to be a "poser" for certain decals and not others? And if you put the carbon fiber front fender i guess you would be a poser trying to look like an S to? hmmmm I smell ........ here..

I dont like to add decals on my bike that didn't come from the manufacturer personally as i would feel dumb when people call me out on it and i would have to admit that i was trying to simulate a bike version i don't own. However with that said, i do like the red wheel striping and if i thought i could do a clean install and apply them perfectly, i would do that, not because i want my wheels to appear to be an S but more that i like the red striping, just didnt want to pay 5k for it :D

Bottom line, Its your bike, Your reputation, your decision...

Personally I couldn't do it knowing it's not the real aftermarket part I'd be trying to portray. To each their own but as mentioned knowledgable Ducati fans will probably look at you like you're a tool. You're likely to fool the general public though. If the oem exhaust is really manufactured by Termignoni then technically you wouldn't be lying but....

i will eventially put the white front stripe of the R on mine, just because i love the accentuation of the shape... no ducati corse or whatsoever...

but an R or an S or a termi sticker on the stock cans? serious troll potential with this question... what for??? you'd better rather wear a fake rolex...

As if everyone did not know the OP is a Troll

it's a tool thing to do and you look like an ..... when found out.

On another point and i am not sure if it's a Ducati thing but i notice alot of guys modding ducati's to look like models they are not.

What's wrong with a fake Rolex, it only cost me $9.95 :D
