TFT Screen Glare

I have a very similar problem. I think much of the problem lies with how tall we sit on the bike. Me being 6'2" Have both the damper and the triple tree reflecting in my TFT. Now this only occurs when I am riding with the sun facing me. The lower half of my TFT is unreadable. My solution.

just put a piece of black duck tape over the damper and the front of the triple clamp No more problem.
Ducati should consider some non glare/polarized screen material on their next model..

Just an update. I plastidipped my steering dampener black and put some black electric tape on the front of the triple clamp. Much improved.

yep, the more non-reflective the stuff, the better the results. some black vinyls are actually shinier than you'd think, as I discovered...

I'm trying some matt carbon fiber film I had laying around. Put it on the triple and the damper.

Glare?

I also never had this issue either with any stabilizer I owned, maybe the sun where you are comes down at a different angle or something?

Hey ChrisE- I love that little Carbon Fiber trick ya did there man! Cool.

This is one reason I probably don't get any glare-since I went with black. However, maybe the red one catches that sun but Im not sure as it doesnt say anything in the write up. :D

BellissiMoto – Bitubo Steering Dampers

Which of these are different from the other? (Hey what kids show was that saying from?)

Dash glare

I realized the difference between this screen and every single bike i have owned thus far, the screen is flat, where on all the analog and digital mix dashes i have experienced the platic is always convex thus not giving a direct reflection. I thus opted to try and sort the display itself and not the items reflecting in it. I tried to use a matt ipad screen protector, thinking this would reduce glare and provide protection. I never use these items seeing as they detract from the look and i think they loom worse than a scratch. I did a quick mock up so dont mind the bits of bubbles still there.

I think the matt has a minimal reflection benefit and detract from the sleek look of the thing, so I removed it.

Nice product but does it hook up to the electronics? S models have electronic control from the ECU and is part of the programming on the bike.. If you disconnect the stock steering electronics doe it throw a code?...

Stuff like that is common on lots of bikes. We had a put a strip of black duct tape on the backside of the Triples on my RSV4. The only time it bothered me was when I was trying to set my RPMs for the launch. Other than that, I never look at the dash...as in literally never. Unless a red light catches my attention.

I have also never seen the sense in gear indicators. What does it matter which gear you are in? If the bike isn't accelerating hard enough, downshift. If it is, then don't. You should be able to always mentally keep track of what gear you are in. Hell, I can run a mental lap of every track in the Southeast and tell you exactly what gear I am in at any given time, and when exactly I shift into that gear.

The only benefit I can see is if maybe you are going from 6th to 2nd on corner entry and you aren't sure if you missed a downshift or not.
