The new termigoni is here

Sure they would have liked to, but there is no way in hell they would have marketed a new design with a forward facing exhaust. Same reason why they still use a SSSA when a DSSA is better in almost every regard. I'm sure they knew all along the potential advantages of less bends, assuming they are indeed to be proven on real dyno's.

Apparently no map required. So you have to wonder, if they could have a do-over, would the muffler have had this design to begin with? It does come with a filter, which makes sense, more air in means more exhaust out - and the computer is able to compensate with additional fuel?

I also wonder what the Air filter is.
Perhaps an MWR?

Most likely a K&N as with previous model Termi kits;)

It's certainly a nice looking piece of gear when one gets over the look of the forward exiting exhaust.
With the exhaust exiting from the front it may help to keep the rear tyre at a more manageable temp.
If they start to adopt this system for racing, it could well prove to be the solution to the tyre wear problem the 1199's are having.

If that proves to be the case.
Termi rules again:)
And at a better price point to the Akro;)

I wonder if AR are going to bring out an equivalent.

So now World SBK teams use two different air filters MWR and this one.

How do you know what to believe.

Keep it simple... use the 1199SL air filter!
Cheaper, and lets more air in! (comparing to stock air filter).

Sprint filter looks pretty much identical to the BMC/K&N air filters in terms of construction & design.

I had one on the 1199, didn't notice a significant difference TBH. Plenty of information on the MWR filter on this forum, it would appear to be the best option for the Panigale.

I have the K&N, so I'll do a side by side comparison when I get the slip-ons.

I have asked at a seller. It seems there is no upmap like in the older model. Why on earth would they drop the single feature that I like more than from the Akrapovic exhaust?

It might not need one if you install the included filter. It will take it getting out in the market to see how it works stock, or if an add on like TB or RB is required.

I think it's because there's more than one team racing WSBK. And I bet there are more than 2 air filters being used...

To further confuse you, if you don't see the item being used with your own eyes, don't always assume the sponsor sticker on the fairing is what is actually being used on the bike either. Frequently it's not.

I don't see the point to aftermarket filter, little to no gains to be made on a street bike
