had the first one when it came out, get rear ended by car at 8k miles, i replaced it with a '13, then just get the 1299 last month

I had a 748R and a 996S in the UK . . . sold both when I moved to the US in '08 but really wish i'd kept the 996S - it was my first Ducati and I had had it from new.
I've been looking for an unmolested 996S here in the US but they've either been shagged to .... or owners are asking classic bike money so it made more sense getting a 2012 Tricolore.
I did test ride the 1299S and it is a lovely bike but with mine having the full Termi system and lots of DP CF already i'm happy to keep mine for now.
