Rossi will be around for many years one way or the other.

He is too involved in the sport in many ways (which is awesome, not like some other guys that just decide to go fishing and disappear for good)

He owns the company that designs all the stuff for many riders, he's got the Sky team, training ranch and so on... he is just a bad ass in all aspects, so haters will be hating and sit down, enjoy the ride because the Rossi show goes on ;)

I thought Cal was much taller and even appears so in pictures--stats show he's 5'6"-5'7".

2nd place last three years in a row is not competitive. holy ...., you just can't fix stupid.

Holy .... you right u can't fix stupid. He will never ever win again period. Why can't you accept that? Has no chance of winning ever again. End of story. Oh I'm still here cucking you

28 points separate the top 5 riders with 11 races to go. Still a lot of meat left on the bone this season.

Yes you are correct so if you were to say right now who has a shot at the title this year who is it?

Vast instead of being the dumb .... you always are answer the 5 questions in post 27
Oh before I forget who lost the superbowl 3 years ago? Exactly nobody knows or cares who came in second

by that "logic", only one rider should race himself in circles. lol.

Can't answer it as I thought. Solution put a rider on the factory bike that can win. Rossi cannot win thats a fact.

Not even relevant in this post nice try though. I will pose the same challenge to you as to vast as to every other rossi fan. Answer the 5 questions in post 27.
He sure does love the young kids coming up and training at his ranch.

it's not a fact, bc the season hasn't ended, yet. and remember, he was leading the standings just a couple of races back and quite literally for not a freak mishap could have easily won 2yrs ago. and he's 2nd place three years in a row, which statistically all points to a greater chance of winning than most everyone on the grid.

facts vs feelings. you, Marktard, are like a garden variety libtard when it comes to Rossi and racing :D

you make outlandish claims that Rossi is not competitive and i am proving to you that: 1) he is extremely competitive 2) you do not understand the word competitive and 3) your confirmation bias is so skewed that you are basically irrational in your hate.

Again Im not a VR fan and never claimed to be. Mark has a vlid point from the performance perspective and has acknowledge the financial implications as well. My point again is that it's not just VR. Look at Hayden (not disrespect intended, this is a discussion independent of the circumstances) Hayden was on multiple "factory" teams with zero shot at winning anything for years and that 2006 season was a gift. Worse, (and I love this guy) Collin Edwards on Factory Yamaha. 196 starts, zero wins. Again Pedrosa and if you're not going to give the financial nod as "viable" in retaining Rossi then you shouldn't factor some "connection" to retaining Pedrosa. He has to go as well. Also by this logic, Biaggi should have never been on a factory bike but for some reason Yamaha thought otherwise. I also like Ben Spies but regardless of the sabotage theory, he was never going to win a GP championship yet got the factory ride.

Ok let me again say to be competitive you have to have a chance to win the title. Rossi has no chance to win a title ever again. Even with Carmello help. He may win A race but A race doesn't reflect a chance to win the title. To win the title u have to be competitive in every race and have a chance to beat your closest competition in every race. He cannot consistently beat maverick just like he couldn't consistently beat Marquez just like he couldn't consistanly beat Lorenzo.
Irrational so you should be able to disprove questions 1-5 in post 27 which u refuse to do

U are right with 26. As a matter of fact he was odd man out in 2013. It was going to be Stoner and marquez but Stoner retired.
Although spies may not have had a shot at the title he won as many titles as rossi has one since rossi has got back to Yamaha that's 0. Who knows what spies would have done given a fair chance but odds are he was going to be out at Yamaha anyway. Rossi just kicked him out faster.
Who knows what would have happened if Yamaha took Stoner back in the day but rossi wasn't having that couldn't have someone else in the spotlight.

because coming in 2nd place 3 years in a row is not competitive? because leading this year 2 races ago was not competitive? bc you don't have to win a race but consistently podium (really come in top 5 or so) in certain configurations to win. because 3rd place currently is a mere 2pt spread between 3 riders (3-5). because mathematically Rossi can in theory win this year; am i saying he will? no, because i don't have a crystal ball.

Rossi is competitive. He is important for the sport. That is all.

If he was competitive he would have A win at least and not be in 5th 28 points back again disprove facts 1-5

by your logic top 5 riders are not competitive? only top 3? or top 2? it's a mere 25pt spread between top 5 and anything can happen. why be so obtuse?

you do realize that a rider does not need to win a single race to win the whole season, right?
