Funny you should post this, I just finished watching "Faster" again. The transition from 500cc 2-strokes to 900cc 4-strokes was pretty interesting, but I liked the battles between Rainey and Schwantz. Pretty amazing riders.

Those were the good old days of racing. You had to be one bas-... mother to ride those things. I think I'm gonna get emotional.

Nothing like racing a purpose built 2-stroke. Never rode a 500 but my 250 was a twitchy beast that would spit you just out of spite. Most fun I've ever had on a M/C.

13 years after and I am still in awe of Garry McCoy's performance in the 2000 South African GP. That guy knew how to ride a 500.

That was an advert for the Unrideables programme on ITV4 last night in the UK. A full 60 mins of interviews, race clips and stories of the riders and the bikes in the 80s. A good programme possibly not yet available overseas yet?
