My R came in at the dealer. Just 5 coming to The Netherlands and they are all sold. Some parts need to installed. The full Termi system, alarm, tankpad, tail tidy and higher windscreen.

RSR, it's awesome you are getting an R!! I sure hope to see you at the track. We have a bunch of days at Pocono too this year, nice little technical track. I owe you some one on one time brother!

hi P!

many congrats ... that is some line up !
djeezes... can't wait it have mine... still a month down the road.... :(

I was just notified that mine has arrived at the dealer and only need prepping. :D however, the weather forecast for the next few days is -12 celcius and still a lot of ice and snow around.

My R is the second one in the photo. Delivery hopefully on Saturday if the weather is reasonable. It is still very cold here. First R on the road in The Netherlands.

I'm perplexed. I notice that the R comes with Turmi and no mirrors or am I missing something. If this is the case the R would be track only.

I would consider one however most of my riding is on country roads, where straight lines don't exist.

I would appreciate any insight on this as Ducati needs the money.

Then it will be the second on the road in the Netherlands as mine is from the same line up and delivery this thursday :p

I'm pretty sure it comes with the same antlers as mirrors. The pictures you are seeing are from shows that they take the mirrors off so it looks better - more of a "track bike" for show purposes.. . When actually delivered to you - it'll have all required road legal items on it. It's the same reason you don't see ugly license brackets, etc on cars/bikes during the show.

The 1199R comes with mirror block-off plates, and the mirrors are in a box, optional to install if it's going to used on the road.

Hey there. Nice to here from you. Are you Romero or Boogerd? Can't remember the names exactly. Saw the yellow tags on the rear. Boogerd was the first bike, mine second and Romero third.

Hoi Patrick,

Likewise! The first one...
They'll deliver at home as they have to pick up the trade in. I'll post some pics from/after delivery, looks like cold, but dry weather Thursday :)

Keep you posted!

So Why are the Netherlands bikes arriving first? Nothing against you guys, but I would hope larger markets would get some type of priority....clearly I had hoped wrongly.

It is mandated that you document delivery with pictures for us.

i am surprised also i thought Italy/England would get the first models and we would be seeing some press reviews.

The bike looks great

-- proximity to Italy may have something to do with it....."ya think"? :)

yep,

but i find it strange that i have not heard of any UK customers getting theirs with the market being much larger.

Also any word on the press reviews at this stage i am surprised a few press bikes have not been released.

-- I wouldn't think it that strange....there are always technicalities with each new model, be it simple parts availability which is mandated by laws of some countries that parts be made available......5 models released to 1 country is not to heavy a load to back up - that's only an idea that pops up....there may in fact be other legitimate reasons we're not privy to - who knows what the whole heat shield issue might have created

-- at the moment, dealers are reporting march/April as the delivery time for the initial "pre-ordered" orders....historically, Ducati has been very close to their reported time, so "no worries" just yet.....

My dealer is one of the biggest sellers in Europe. Maybe something to do with that. I know one R at the dealer in Norway. Nothing heard of UK and France. I think these bikes will be a lot less common then we all expected.
