Geez, how the WSB announcers for the race weekend piss, moan and cry that yet again Alvaro shows he’s the man. All they did today was say how great Toprack is and how hard he rode, only to lose…well wah wah wah, Yamaha can perhaps build a better bike? Possibly a V4? Alvaro is on the best bike and he’s the best rider. Stop with the pity party for Toprack already.

Sounds like you have a problem with toprak.

No denying Alvaro is good but it’s difficult to criticize topraks riding and talent.

Toprak is by far the most talented person to come thru the championship in a long time, not to mention the talent is displayed in a way that is again by far the most entertaining thing we have seen in a long time. Yes the Ducati is the best bike and Alvaro is amazing on it, but he is also on a very different career arc - its ending. Hopefully Toprak is able to replicate on the BMW but I think it will be even a tougher road at least at eh beginning of next season. The pundits have bene around for a long time, Toprak is cooler to them then Alvaro - and well he is....

Someone has to win, right now its AB but Toprak will have more championships to come Im sure. AB is pushing 40. He's going to retire at the top, I'm not sure if he's contracted for next year but I'm pretty sure it will be his last

Forget Toprak — let’s talk about Mark Marquez… what I really mean is; stop talking about MM. That’s the MotoGP announcers’s golden boy. They’ve said in the past that they don’t have favorites — I beg to Differ. For one thing, it doesn’t matter if they have favorites or not. It’s not like their commentating has anything to do with the outcome — they’re not referees.

Jerez kinda showed that he is on par with Alvaro.

Ducati couldn't really use their engine advantage there

BMW will be a bog for him IMO. Redding was great 3 years ago, no one knows who he is now as he got sucked into never winning german machine

You sure in race three he wasn’t running the extra weight in prep for next season.. this season was done and dusted why not …
You could see he was battling for the first laps compared to the previous two races

Bautista, Rea and Toprak, when those guys are trading places its the best superbike racing on the planet. Toprak is incredibly talented and a rising star, Bautista- he really should have had a better opportunities in GP with the form he is showing at his age. I'm not sure that even Rossi would have had the drive to do what he's doing if he'd gone to WSBK.

That is a fun racing series to watch. The highlight video with the 38 overtakes leading to Toprak’s last win was a fun one.

It's sad to see that no one praises amazing Italian engineers who managed to create V4R platform that is so competitive though

Toprack is good, but 40 y.o. Italian mechanical or computer science engineer who still lives in his parents house somewhere in Milan is ....... amazing too

“Win”

… I think exceeding track limits did help him since it was so close at the end

Spectacular races in wsbk and MotoGP. F1… not so mich

How hard do you punish a guy who's mathematically a 2nd place finisher in the WSBK championship?

I don't watch F1. I can't take the commitment of getting into another race series.

I felt a little bad for him since he fought so hard on his last race for yam. Oh well, leave them wanting more.

He said it himself, rules are rules. If you allow one to break it, others will exploit it.

But it is sad to see him being upset.

Anyway, good training for him. Something tells me he will see a lot of sad days at BMW
