Been awake since about 2.30 am mostly reading this forum! Can't sleep. The reason? I'm collecting my 1299s from the guys at Ducati Leeds at 10.00! I've had my 1199s Tricolore for almost three years and will be sad to see it go in PX- damn, if only I'd worked harder and saved enough cash to keep both! Times move on though. New bike has Akrapovic full system as opposed to Termis on the Tric. Looking out the window and the sun is shining! How good can it get?

One thing I must talk to the dealer about is the throttle spacer - see, being awake half the night wasn't a complete waste of time!

i had same issue the nite(s) before i picked her up. Even worst i was travelling to come home to pick her up. By the time i got in town (late at night due to flights delay), i had to go through another sleepless night again. But it was worht it.

Thanks all for your good wishes. It's an awesome bike and with that full Ackrapovic system its, erm, quite loud too! Sounds completely different to the Temis on the Tricolore. Had a great ride out to Scarborough with my girlfriend on her 696 Monster. No issues with heat rise in the traffic on the Seafront, if anything, better than the Tric in that respect (and probably most others). Still love that colour scheme though. Thanks to Paul at Ducati Leeds and all the team there for making the day a great experience from start to finish.
