Went up to Redding Drag Strip Saturday night, since we weren't racing the sprint car. Got to make 3 passes. Best pass was a 10.611 at 138.9 that's my best run so far. Still loseing a bunch of time off the line, it's taking too long to get my right foot up to the rear brake which is delaying WOT in first it takes a little rear brake in first to control the front wheel height. All in all not too bad, fast bike of the night.
Next time I'll try leaving with my left foot down, since first gear is pretty long, I believe there is 3 10ths to be had there.

Best so far for me 10.3 @ 143mph, front wheel off the ground entire strip, total blast !!!

My 60 foot is still terrible 1.9, 10.3 is excellent, that gives me something to shot for. I know the bike can do it in it's stock form, it's a matter of technique.

Definetely lots of time to be found in getting your feet or foot on the pegs.
i haven't ran my Pani but my bikes in the past,i always had best luck launching with my foot on and ready with the shifter and my right foot down as it's not relevant to anything.
You're never gonna get a great launch on this bike and there are different ways to skin the cat but I'd stick with foot on shift lever and maybe try bein a bit smoother out of the hole and get that right foot up as quick as you can and boogie. Some people are good at draggin both feet and then getting them up. I never had success with that and found it cost me time. The longer my legs/leg were down the slower i went. I'd like to run my Diavel, I think I'd get a good time on it

I always found running bikes at the drags a ton of fun. It's way harder than people think to put up a good time. Ive seen alot of guys get a reality check on what they run and what they think they can run. Experimenting and gaining a tenth here and there or losin makes it a blast

interesting, i normally roll in to pre-stage both feet down, bring up the revs put my weight over my handlebars and bend my elbows. then move into stage with both feet still on the ground. i think because i am little short i don't like balancing on one foot lol

Body shape and size may dictate alot as well. I could never lean forward with both legs down and get my feet up after the launch without losin time. Was always feelin my legs were down longer than they needed and i was fumblin to get them up. I could still get my weight forward with my foot on the lever and one down. Race bikes are so hard to get out of the hole. Takes alot of experimenting to get it good

i recommend running in 195Lo. launch at around 5000-6000rpm, slip the clutch out and roll on the throttle; i normally hit 100% throttle in 2nd gear, 1st is normally 75%
i have run
9.8 stock with tune, unstrapped,
9.6 stock with tune and strapped front end

Thanks I'll try 195 lo, I'm losing time getting my right foot up to the rear brake, old road race habit. When I go back I'll leave with my left foot down, also I noticed you stayed in 4th, I've been going to 5th stock gearing, not really needed that is probably hurting my mph.

I just did the math on your kph reading on your speedo, I'm coming up with 147mph through the lights! really nice pass, what was your 60 foot times?

i've only ran the 1/8 mile so far, what i found the best for me was 195HI, TC off, ABS off.

start around 7-8k and let clutch slip, then wring out, be quick to the shifter :D

60 ft at 1.8s and 6.8s@115mph was my best run (IIRC)

9.900 @ 145.63 mph can't remember my 60 foot time can't find the slip, but i did run a 1.773sec 60ft when i did a 9.957

for my 9.6 @ 147mph, 1.724sec 60ft

Regarding shifting into 5th, i did afew runs keeping it in 4th and then shifting into 5th. i found the different to be very minimal. didn't really change much.

Also +1 to having TC off, i run ABS on 2 but that doesn't matter because 90% of the time i do a burnout and it switchs the ABS off due to wheel sensor error. I like 195Lo because i find it is easier to roll the throttle on without the front wheel coming up, HOWEVER since getting an exhaust and tune i think i will run on 195HI as my torque curve is way more smooth compare to the stock tune
