Track day only bro?

I still cruise the streets! plus southern Ohio Has some killer roads that were recently repaved. Where are you in Ohio?

I'm just about track only now. I bought a membership at a local track that gives me access to six hours of open pit six days out of every month for $150/month after the $500 initiation fee. Street bike has only been out once or twice since I became a member there. Two track days a month scratches my itch.

where do you live?

just moved to FL and everything is straight here. the drivers are terrible very scared to do street riding although i will every so often. as the snowbirds or qtips (all you see is white hair over the head rest like a qtip) come down driving will get worse. that means street riding will get even less which is virtually non existant.
sucks i have the pani and the hp and the ninja is the one i am always on

Mid Ohio and Pitt race are only about a hour a way. I did about 3 track days a month all summer so i rarely rode street anyway. Guess i that's why i figured just hang up street altogether. Also if Nelsons Ledges gets redone that's less that 30min from me so i will have 3 tracks readily available .

My Panigale will see almost exclusively track miles next year after being baptized on the track this year. Roads suck too much up here to make it worth riding it on the street. I've got my 1975 CB400F for cruising the street.

I'll never ride a 'superbike' on the street again. It's not so much myself that I worry about, but the other drivers, hazards, deer, and the lack of run-off area. Plus, once you get use to twisting the throttle as far as you like and at your will, the subdued nature of the street becomes less and less attractive.

Luckily Sears is a short 15 minute drive for me, Thunderhill about 2 hours, Laguna 2.5, and then a myriad of So Cal tracks within 5 hours. That, combined with keeping a high cardiovascular fitness on the bicycle for riding the track, keeps me busy throughout the year.

With work and family the time left over has me doing 90% track time and only 10% street riding. And boy do I love track riding! So much I'm throwing myself into the local novice racing next season.

Riding the street is good if you have a relaxing country road to ride on but city and traffic driving suck IMO. Stop and go blows and too many ....... car drivers to watch out for. Just recently a friend of mine's employee was hit by a truck and now he's gonna loose his foot. Scary...

Thats very cool. We want to move to Barcelona for more track time! There are quite a few tracks close by and the weather is better than the UK.

One problem with Barcelona - its full of us brit w@nkers on holiday. I was most disappointed when I went there. Every sodding place I went to, some pissed up brit wide boying it up!

@Royal Planing on traveling to Barcelona or Jerez next June/ July or its a bad idea due to Heat? Also what would be a good track organization to ride rent a bike to do the track day, any feet back would be greatly appreciated

I do track if I have time , no time to ride on the street and no fun ,cops ,cars, traffic, potholes ,animals, etd....

Hello mate, you should be ok; it can get very hot in July / August but I dont think it would be unbearable. Places further down like Almeria would be very hot as they are close to North Africa and the desert.

Home page and Why choose Focused Events? | Focused Events and organisors that also do hire bikes. Nolimits would be my choice as they are better organised and also run race series here in the UK but Focused hire out new bikes such as Panigales and BMW if that's what you are looking for. Nolimits often have a company called Smallboys with them who do Fireblades and GSXR,etc
SmallboyTrackbikes.co.uk - UK & Europe Trackbike Rental

What does that mean :confused::D

Haha, I shall attempt to translate into American!

Someone from the British Isles, who has, during the day consumed too much alcohol, and is going around being very loud and obnoxious but thinking he is just amazing at life and showing off to his mates and unfortunate passes by!

Or

A drunken loud mouth brit being an .......! Basically standard behaviour on holiday and the reason most of Europe hates us!
