Hi everyone. Took my V2 to the track for my first ever track day on the weekend and loved it. Definitely want to do more. Want to try and get a set of track/race fairings. Which company do people recommend? Located in Australia if that makes any difference.

Thank you

Sharkskins are very good but also very expensive.

I suggest that you try and avoid track fairings unless you are planning on doing mostly track riding. Track fairings are a pain to take off and on. You might be okay with buying sliders and guards.

I agree with youpaiyou. Sharkskins are one of the better companies that make track fairings but are pricey. And most likely you may want to have them painted. Even if painting them a solid color with clear coat will still cost you a bit. As youpaiyou also pointed out. Track fairings are a pain to take off and put on. Granted buying quick release hardware will make the job easier. 2 or 3 twists and the parts are off. But if youre going to be doing maybe 5-10 track days a year spend the money on crash protection.

1) Aella frame sliders ( I dont know of other making them. If the fairings were like the 959 then CNC Racing would fit). My right CNC Racing frame slider puck was ground down more than half way after my accident. My front fairing was cracked and my upper and lower right fairings were scratched up. Insurance still replaced them. But the frame sliders did help without adding any other mechanical damage to my clutch or motor.
2) My favorite front and rear axle sliders are the magnetic ones made by T-Rex-racing. I have them on all 3 of my bikes. If not for the front axle protector after my accident my Ilmberger front fender would have been broken and my new Ohlins front suspension would have either been scratched up or maybe worse
3) Tank sliders. But not the small R&G ones. You can always google carbon tank sliders. The ones that are longer are the ones I would recommend.
4) I also have a right brake lever guard and left clutch lever guard. When I got into my accident the gilles tooling right lever guard broke off in the front a bit. But nothing happened to my ASV shorty lever. Im not sure but I think the lever guard helped save the lever.

Get a set of track fairings, once you get them to fit on they are not that bad to take on and off, maybe 1 hour, your OEM fairings are about $3500.
You can get a set of race fairings for $600-800.
I use Armour bodies. Retail for $750.
Ive crashed in these at 95 mph lowside, easy repair.
OEM panels shatter too.
For best cost savings WHEN you do crash your bike you will be happy you invested a little time and some money to protect your bike

The original kit from Ducati... I payed 750 euro, and it fits like a glove... And in my case, I also ride 1500 a 2000 km on the road, so you keep you lights on it... The kit also comes with replacements for the lights in case you want to build a full race bike... These are actually the original fairings unpainted...

When I looked at the Ducati kit is looked like it didn't come with a tail section (1299). Does it actually come with the tail? How are these compared to Armour bodies and sharkskins when you have an off? Does anyone know or have enough experience here to speculate?

Thanks!
