Shark Skinz makes an R style track fairing set now but they are $1600. Once you get them painted they are nearly the cost of the OEM set. If I was racing my V4 o would go with the Shark Skinz. For trackdays i would stick with the OEM ones then switch to the 2020 style if i crash them. Or buy the OEM kit for $800 and just leave them unpainted.

I love the sharkskinz as I crashed them before racing and was able to stitch them up. I will race a 2020 V4S this year and bought the OEM unpainted fairing kit. Had them painted by Mick (Mick is top notch craftsman!) I went with the OEM fairing kit because I wanted to experience the extra new wide fairings for 2020. Better aerodynamics around the rider/racer. I plan on smoking fools on the straight away this year if we ever race.

I plan to purchase the Ducati tail light blank off (97110831a) and the bypass plug is (96510961A) for the tail light. Has anyone found a good alternative to these apart from taping them up (which is how I am doing it at the moment)?

I havent managed to locate an undertail blank off plate for when the license plate holder is removed. Is there a Ducati supplied part for this as well?

i have the evotech undertail plate which also acts as an action camera mounting point. I think it’s pretty solid.

If you're serious about tracking your bike, and you're serious about setup, then an underseat exhaust is 100% a necessity.

Instead of the rear cylinders going down into the belly pan, they follow the tail. The space that's left where the original pipes went downwards, is the only space where you can get a spanner onto the ride height adjuster. Resized_20200531_130123_3545.jpegResized_20200531_130119_8044.jpeg

What is the exact clip-on/triple tree setup on here? Thanks.
Evol clip-ons, ducabike damper mount, melotti upper triple, really like them but it was a pia getting it all to fit on the little real estate available on the forks, I will prob have evol make me some more narrow on the fork, in the off season.

Thanks for the reply. Looks like something I am after, as the angle of the clip-on seems much more desirable to me. How is turning with them, can you go lock to lock?

I was surprised what an improvement the flatter bar angle made, I really like them. They do go full lock to lock. For the street, the stock bars are gonna be more comfy but on the track they will be better imo.

Interesting. Glad to hear they can go lock to lock. What happens to me is the discomfort with the right palm, and thinking the angle of the throttle, the vibrations and constant adjusting might be the culprit. New grips are going on so the hand is not slipping (if that is the case), but ultimately I am thinking it is just the angle of it.

I also bike the other human propelled bikes (road and mountain) almost daily. I adjust my hands on the road bike almost constantly, as it is to be expected. On the mountain the cockpit is much more of your setup scenario, flatter angles.

But, it is a huge change that could go either way, so it is not an easy change for me.
