Battery Charger

Of the non-ducati chargers. Optimate by Techmate are the best. I use a Optimate4. They are a true charger/maintainer. The battery is tested every 30 minutes. Voltage is only applied if needed, they are designed maintain batteries at 13.6 volts.
This reduces heat cycles that batteries are subject to when using other chargers. Heat cycles will kill batteries, that's why people claim "battery tenders" should not be used.

A Desulfating feature is built in the Optimate3, 4,5,6 series chargers if needed.

They also sell a Lithium battery charger now as well.

i'm not actually chasing one, my bikes do not sit long enough to need one! This is the one that came with the bike...i just thought it was a odd brand

I got the same one "given" to me with my bike as well mate.

Also got the same one "given" to me by the same dealer when I bought the Harley.

I saw Oxford Oximiser 900 on revzilla, from what he describes its heck of a trickle charger. But I have the battery tender junior high efficiency. I personally plug it in every week for an hour of so till its solid green, I recommend taking the battery out if you are storing it in a non heated place. Here in the New England, winter can last 5-6 months or till the salt and sand get washed out.

thanks...might be a NF imports thing!

Ruley

Ive had ever brand of charger over the years and when i discovered this one, and met the man who runs the company, I never had to look again. This is the BEST charger I have ever found hands down and you can seriously leave it connected on the bike year round without having any type of issue with battery or bike!

USER: OptiMate 4 Dual Program

If you contact Mike Cooper there tell him I sent you for one (if interested) and he will probably cut it down for ya too! Great gear right here man! :)

EDIT - just saw the post Gar1moto put above and didnt even see it until AFTER I posted mine. Good minds think alike eh Moto? lol

thanks again for the replies guys, as i said, i'm not looking for one, never had to use one on any bikes...we have year round riding here and i make the most of it:D

it must just be a Australian imported thing to throw in a charger with the bike...

Have a look at CTEK chargers - they are the suppliers to Porsche, who take them out of the box, rebrand them and then charge a fortune for them.

Ive got a couple, they've never gone wrong.

No, it's not if you bought a V4S. My dealer has been trying to get one for me but none in the country it seems.

Is this a record for thread revival ?

BTW Junior battery fighters work great on normal batteries, shorai lithium and a power sports lithium. Cheap on ebay and no need to spend big bucks on a name.

The first CTEK charger I got gave me a zap from the frame of the panigale, returned it on the second one.

So far no issues and luckily didn’t fry any panigale electronics either.
