Could someone tell me how to properly remove the plastic panels on the sides of the subframe below the fuel tank? They feel like they push on, but I don't want to pull and break off mounts.
Thanks
Brett

The subframe is the aluminum piece that holds the seat up, so I don't think you mean that?

Under the tank, do you mean the pieces that hold electronics or the black strip between the gas tank and the top side fairings?

It's the black plastic mounted on the aluminum subframe, just below the rear of the tank. Your leg touches it, and I believe it is the same piece being replaced by the carbon piece in a recent post on this site. It is just below and forward of the seat. I am removing the subframe to build a jig and build a tubular race subframe, but want to save the stock parts.

Sorry, I don't remember how those come off. I do remember they just come off with the subframe though, if we're talking about the same pieces.

Take the tank off , you will see they are retained by lock rings on the plastic bosses, you need to widen them with a small flat screwdriver
