Truth about MWR racefilter . . . . Dyno proof

My tuned test results

Here's a link to the results we have seen on an 1199R with stock airfilter, then MWR.

We tested the bike as delivered - properly, with the cobwebs blown out of it.\
Then we tuned the bike properly - completely. (TuneBoy)
Then we tuned the bike again after fitting the MWR filter (TuneBoy)

For those that were interested in the results before tuning with the MWR, I'll do it on the next one (tomorrow) as on this 1199R, the MWR filter untuned reponded poorly (as expected) and I just got on with tuning.

The front cylinder went rich, and the rear, lean, across the map, due to the MWR filter distributing the air more evenly..... exactly what MWR explains their design achieves.
Post tune, riding the bike showed outstanding gains especially in low down torque.

I am really looking forward to tuning one with the Akrapovic system

(Note - dont get lost on the peak numbers, or any numbers, look at the improvements - my dyno does not read high)

there goes my chance to sell my filter on the low and get the Sprint P16

Sorry .. man.. Cat was out of the ..... long time ago on this..
I do however have the P16 installed and can say the bike runs phenomenally better down low and the exhaust oddly enough became loud as hell..( this could be a coincidence, but others have stated the same)

My old MWR race filter was way the .... better than stock OEM, so I'm sure someone will appreciate this really inexpensive upgrade you will be offering..

Yeah, i know it has... but i am one to wait before i buy things, i'm not one to 'keep up with the jones' and like to do as much homework as prior, there will always be the next best thing that comes out, could be in the next few months. And again, i will be sitting back with my old sprint filter, going damn.

Good to know, its just a good chunk of change to shell out for a filter, its disheartening.

My point was because only 170hp... ( is tested bike new R or older 2013-2014 model)
Allready have sprint..

2014 MODEL.

I'll test the sprint for myself soon. I tend not to trust hype and prove things myself. Have you MWR haters got a link to the dyno results of the sprint outperforming the MWR? Tuned with both on same bike?

Looking forward to testing myself and very open to another filter being better!

That's not eye opening, its eye rolling to me.

Has anybody done a tuned test on the same bike with both MWR & Sprint?

Especially on the Panigale?

Sharing a test on flow proves nothing at all, to me. Thanks though, the bench numbers look amazing.

Yes
I have on both filters MWR RACE and P16
The Sprint pulled way more and bottom end way smoother
Unfortunately it was not dynoed but auto adaptivity of RAPIDBIKE race module

I have often thought bikes were faster and or more powerful after spending time & money on them.

Then I bought a dyno and it becomes clear pretty quickly things aren't always as they seem/feel

I am keen to see some real proof, from someone reputable like Doug Lofgren etc.....

I haven't had time to do the "after" dyno on my bike yet. The "before", was completely stock and it made 174 RWHP on a stingy dyno that my BMW S1000RR with full race Akrapovic system, custom ECU tune and BMC race filter, made 184 RWHP on.

I will wait until I get my Sprint WSBK with P08 material in it and re-dyno and we can compare. Obviously, I don't have an MWR to compare with, but even so, the results should be interesting.

awesome - I really enjoy testing & proving things. Sadly its very time consuming and costs a fair amount of money....

Way better would be if you could get the MWR HE or race & do a full tuned test on both, as I have done with stock/MWR

Then we will know....

I trust that this entry will now bring my name to good standing within your lens...

Ps- Delete entry 32. you come off as megalomaniac, posting the exact same thing...
A most redundant of offerings no doubt...

What I meant by reputable was in relation to tuners. The comment was in no way aimed at your results.
I've posted information that's hard to get and the replies have been all talk and rather unwelcoming.
This is why I don't frequent forums.
All the best I'll refrain from future posts.

if I have made it "personal now," I apologize for misinterpreting your remarks..

Unfortunately the internet has a sebaceous way of leaving a misunderstanding between separate parties. That being said, I offer you an olive branch for reconciliation..

If you accept such an offering, i welcome you back with open arms and also will not forfeit on my commitment to such a gesture..

What say you?
