I'm happy to see that Dyno graphs are getting done with before and after with different filters. I have the WSBK MWR filter, and took it based on personal usage and praise by LJuice.
That being said, I am really curious to know how the WSBK filter stacks up against stock and other offerings as well... A ...-for-tat type of comparison would be fantastic. We need to find ourselves a resident magazine writer (MCN, Motorcyclist, Whateverbikemag, etc.) and get an article put in place focusing on just something as simple as these air filters. One dyno... different current bikes (e.g. ZX10, S100RR, 1299, etc.) just to see how well these things actually work out.
In cars, I know K&N used to be a big name and everyone installed those filters and expected power gains, sadly, most got let down when actually trying to prove it on a dyno... I always used these filters on cars and bikes for one reason in the past... Re-usability. I cleaned mine often and enjoyed doing it.
On my 1199 Base... I bought the WSBK MWR for 2 reasons... Ability to clean it, and POWER INCREASE!! I have a baseline run on a dyno, bone stock that I can compare to, but I have since installed a gutted muffler, and installed the filter and RapidBike EVO tuner, so it is not a reliable test as any of the other items could have provided the gains, not just the filter.
DSuLL... Keep on running dyno tests and put this one out to rest with "real life" numbers. Don't worry about Forum banter... Some of us are more than excited to see the differences between all of this as most of use will swap the stock filter for something... It's just a matter of which "something" is best.
