Hey guys,
I finally started unpacking the goodies that came with the low mileage 2014 1199R I picked up a week ago. To my surprise there was no up map key in the box from Ducati for the full system. I have a call out to find out if the previous owner still has it but he last told the dealer he gave them everything he had. So potentially I'm stuck with a full system and no key to swap the race up map and take advantage of the full system power boost. Not knowing much about ecu tuning I've been searching but I'm just getting more confused. I've come across posts with rexxer tuning and tune boy. Will these effectively do the same thing? I'd really like to throw this setup on soon but there's probably no point on the stock tune. Could I just throw on the termi mufflers as a slip-on setup for now? Thoughts?

You can run the full system with the stock map . I use a rexxer map it's not a piggy back type system but essentially will give you a better tune than a up map will .
I have never used Tuneboy or Rapid Bike but people are getting great results from these systems as well but are more hands on than the Rexxer or a up map .

If you have a competent tuner available (how far are you from EDR?) you can use RapidBike and have a custom dyno tune done. That will always, always give you better results than some generic map.

I'm running a rexxer tune and am very happy with the results after gutting the cats on my oem cans. I just scored a crazy deal on a full termi system and need to see if my tuner needs to write a different map.

What is EDR? I live in Los Angeles. Should I call some Ducati dealers for tuner recommendations?

Thanks Wilks, how do I get that tune? Just mail them my ecu and they send it back?

I've used PC and Rapidbike. I find the RB easier to use and install and it tunes as I ride.. You can actually feel a difference the longer the trackday or ride goes.. It kinda creeps up on you as you ride.. I prefer RB..

Be nice Claymore lol

for all cored exhausts i ship out i add the note where i recommend the RB due to its simplicity and adaptive results.

After having run Slip-ons with Upmap, thought fueling was decent, then swapped to a full system with a slip-on upmap, noticably in need of some love but 10-30% throttle was not bad.. Have a rexxer tune for my bike now, anything over 40% throttle it runs damn good, but for the street and under 40% it is not so great under 6000rpm..

Thinking I will go with a RB autontune, instead of a PCV and custom tune.

If you tried PCV with autotune you would have noted it also tunes while you ride, you would also have had the advantage of wide band lamdas and maps per gear. With a flashed ECU it would also tune the closed loop are previously unavailable to it. :D

I am always nice.

So is rapid bike a plug in module I can upload after I install the full system?

Yes it plugs right into the bikes wire harness and you it will be configured with the Exhaust, Map and other info when you buy it.

RB and Rexxer? Please educate me PA

Hi b900b,

Since I have that new FM exhaust and the optional racing header (fans have to be removed), there was a Rexxer map developed for the Barni racing team (CIV SBK + SUPERSTOCK1000 FIM CUP - ITALIA) (developed by Fabrizio Richiardi)
I already had the RB race, but i wanted to get this racing map they used so i purchased the REXxer to utilize this map...
Since there was no "base" map that Yaman or I knew about for the FM projects exhaust, this was a quicker way to get that base map and also of course"” disable o2 sensors for wide-band tuning by the "my tune " modules.. (Also spoke to YAMAN and he also suggested I get the wideband "my tuning" for the everyday riding so the RB race module auto-adapts even quicker).. YAMAN actually has a very similar setup"”REXXer tune, 2 "my tune" modules and Sprint P16...
He spoke highly of the results to me...

^^^ Well.. That sounds interesting and fun.. And expensive lol.. How does she run now?
